Gray and Cream Clock

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend.  We had some nice weather, here in GA!  I actually broke out my shorts and sandals for the first time this year.  My allergies are still in full swing though.  I barely have a voice right now.  That means I am on the tail end of it though.  It usually starts with sneezing, then runny nose, then coughing, then laryngitis!  I'm used to it by now. I was taking allergy medicine, but it gave me terrible insomnia.  Don't I sound like one big pity party?!  Ha!

It's not all doom and gloom around here though.  I managed to do a few new things around the house this weekend.

Ever since I changed my color scheme to a more neutral palette, this clock never quite fit in.

It had a yellow and blue band around it, which I did not like anymore.  I love clocks though and felt like all it needed was a little makeover to make me like it again.

So, out came the gray paint.

Here is what it looks like now.

This hangs on the white wall in my upstairs hallway that is open to the foyer.  So it really needed to coordinate with the colors downstairs.

I painted the outer band and inner circle gray along with the little french designs that were a light blue.

Now I'm happy with it once again!

Also, after about a month of waiting, I received something I ordered from Antique Farmhouse.

I received this number two sign and decided to use it in my kitchen.  It matches perfectly and adds a bit of industrial style that I like.

So, despite being miserable with allergies, I managed to have some fun after all!

Thanks for stopping by!

~ Kelly ~

Great transformation on the clock. I almost ordered that number in 9 (my son's football #) then worried he would change his number this year and then I would have a random 9...lol

They do take a long time, don't they, Kelly? I ordered a little cloche thingy from them and it seemed like it took forever. I finally got it the other day. Your clock reminds me of one I have, only mine has a faded red instead of blue. I've been wondering how it might look if I painted that red a different color {seeing as I have no red in the house or the room the clock is in}.

Hope you feel better soon. Allergies are definitely a down side of all this beautiful weather and blossoms popping out everywhere. I love the new look of your clock, and that number was definitely worth waiting for.

Ooops fogot to say that I'm glad you're feeling a little bit better. My allergies will probably start in a few weeks. Everything is starting to bloom here in Michigan.

I love your number two sign! You should get a number 1 just for laughs! ;)

My chickens will be a year old next month! I can't believe how fast this year has went by. I plan on keeping him as of right now. If he flogs another one of us, he's a goner! lol! He does take real good care of the ladies and protects them. He's cocky for sure! lol!
