It's a beautiful weekend in GA! Last night, because of the cooler weather we had, my husband decided to make homemade chili. Yum! Afterwards, my son asked for chocolate chip cookies, so out came this mix from the cabinet.
Have you ever tried these mixes? They make several different types. This mix and the Snickerdoodle mix are my favorite. They taste just like they're completely homemade! I'm not kidding. I don't even make homemade chocolate chip cookies anymore because they don't turn out as good as these from the mix. With the holidays coming up, you might try them. They're very inexpensive too. This box was only $1.78. That's cheaper than a bag of chocolate chips!
It's super easy to make too. You only need two ingredients of your own to add to the mix.
One stick of butter and one egg!
Mix it all together.
Place them on a cookie sheet and bake.
They'll come out of the oven smelling great!
Wait! Don't eat them yet. Let them cool slightly.
Now you can serve them up with a glass of cold milk!
Hungry yet? I've got a huge bag full all baked up and ready for your visit now. Ha! Go bake something sweet for your family this weekend. Enjoy!

Nothing says 'HOME' better than a platter of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies!!
ReplyDeleteYours look delicious!
Oh yummy these look so delish. Haven't tried these mixes, but I've heard they're great. Your hubby cooks? lucky girl! Happy Weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe had homemade chili a couple of days ago. Love it. Havn't used the mix. Need to look for it. Sounds wonderful. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI made white bean chicken chili today. I could really go for a cookie now. Snickerdoodle is our fav too, love that mix!
ReplyDeleteLet's see. I can be there in 45 minutes give or take a minute. I like mine warm with my cold milk.
ReplyDeleteYum! Kelly I want some now. I've never seen this brand before. Thank you for sharing your ideas. I hope our grocery store has it.
ReplyDeleteWell, look at you Kelly! Aren't you the multi-tasker?? Blogging AND cooking! LOL!! Those look wonderful! We didn't do chili last night; but, we were close. Red beans and rice! (It's that Louisiana part of me.) Krusteaz makes an awesome belgian waffle mix, as well. Save a cookie for me!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Kelly now I'm craving chocolate chip cookies LOL!! They look gooood! I've used that mix before but not for cookies for their lemon bars and they're yummy too! That's so funny about our son's. Not only having the same name but their even the same age. Martina
ReplyDeleteI am going to check that brand out on my next shopping day. Thanks for sharing! I am so loving your blog.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you posted this! I stand there in the baking aisle and wonder if any of these modern miracles are any good and walk away feeling guilty for even wanting to try them! If I was any kind of Granny I would march right home and make some homemade ones, right? I hate baking cookies and I am going to march right into that store and buy some of this stuff, because I love EATING cookies! Thanks for tutorial too! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly,
ReplyDeleteWe had chili yesterday too! What is it about the cooler weather that we crave comfort food, the kind that fills your stomach and your heart too! Your cookies look yummy, what a quick and easy recipe...
Enjoy your Sunday!
All the Best,
Christine
Our grocery store did not have this brand of mix. Boo. I will check Walmart next time I go.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kelly!
I haven't tried this mix but you can bet I will. Your cookies look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteAnd, believe me, there is NOTHING wrong with your picture taking.:))
I must try these! Make some for the grand kids.

Oooooh, Kelly I am going to give these a try when the Little Men get here!! Thank you for a recommended short cut! I appreciate that. blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteReally? They're that good?? They certainly look good in your photo. I've used Krusteaz mixes for cranberry bread, but I've never tried a cookie mix. Of course, I love to bake cookies, but I'm thinking this would be awfully easy for my boys when they want to make cookies for themselves!
ReplyDeleteDo you have a Publix near you? I *think* there on sale this week bogo! Me and my sales I love'um! I need to make sure the sale ends Tuesday. I have a coupon too! lol!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly, I found you thru Peggy's Hidden Haven blog. I, too, live in GA. I have not tried these cookies yet, but they sound like a great deal and delicious! I also love your master bath. It looks very bright and luxurious. Hope you are getting a little rain this a.m. We are!
ReplyDeleteYum! And you are right! I have tried several of the Krusteez mixes and they all seem to be very good!
