French Love

Hello everyone!

I wanted to share a few things that I found that bring the french look to my home.

Recently, while on a trip to Scott's Antique Market in Atlanta, I found this European license plate.  I was so excited when I spotted it!

I hung it on the wire basket above my refrigerator.  I love the black and white graphics of it.

Can you believe it was only $6?  I didn't know you could find anything that cheap at Scott's!

As many of you know, I receive daily emails from Wuslu.  They have some good deals.  I bought this set of french cushions and found new homes for them.

I put this one in my chair in the family room.
It was sold as a set of 2.  I placed the other cushion in an old basket in my foyer.  The wire basket that was there moved to another location.
I love the grey and cream color scheme of these cushions.
The wire basket that used to be in the foyer moved into the sitting room.  I decided to put the vintage leather suitcase in there as well.
I tell ya, things don't stay in one place too long around here!  Ha!
So there you have it.  Just a touch of french in some new places in my home.  Now, I wish I had taken French in school instead of Spanish.  Then I could read all of this stuff!
Thanks for stopping by!

  5. Love your license plates and pillows. I think changing things around makes take re-notice of them and they don't get old that way. We look at them and actually "see" them-xo Diana

  12. I love that wire basket on top of your fridge, Kelly! What a great size that is! Love the tall wire one, too, by the chest. I think I skipped the one from Antique Farmhouse {is it this one?} because I have an idea for using it, but I'm not onto that project yet. I hate having to move things out of my way until I get to their project!

  27. I was at Scotts this weekend, too. Thursday to be exact -and you are right about thinking nothing would be six dollars. I bought some confit pots that were out front of building two. Did you see them?

I love all things french and like all your changes. Your picture and title pulled me right in. Could you come to my house and move things around? I need your eye!

  28. I do love everything, the plate is so neat and $6.00 isn't alot at all for it! Beautiful pillows too, love where you have them!

  29. Saw a leather suitcase like that today shopping at Good Will. They wanted $85 dollars... AT GOOD WILL!!! And your pillows have inspired me; I picked up a white cushion at IKEA for my redone highchair, and I think I should stencil something French on it to match the other graphics.
