Hello everyone!
I thought I'd share with you a few things around here that are both old and new.
Let's start with the old.......
I changed my dining room centerpiece to something more simple using things I already had. I went down into my basement and grabbed this wire urn, that I bought years ago, and some Spanish moss. I filled the urn with the moss and then set a small fern plant inside it. Voila! Instant satisfaction and best of all, free!
Now I'll share with you the new...........
I ordered a set of these key/lock plates from Decor Steals (formerly Wuslu). I thought they were very unique and would be cute sprinkled around the house.
I used one on top of a stack of magazines on the coffee table.
Then I used another one on the wall above a mirror in the sitting room.
And finally the last one over a picture in my upstairs hallway.
Can you believe that this is my very last rooster in the house? He should feel very special since he lasted the longest! Ha!
And finally my last new treasure is this white ceramic tureen I found at a consignment store. I placed it in my black dish display cabinet in the kitchen.
So, there you have it. Just a little of this and that. Hope your week is going well so far.
Thanks for stopping by!
~ Kelly ~

Don't ax the last roo as he pairs well with the new treasure.
ReplyDeleteLove the new rusty key things and yes, that roo should feel very blessed to still be residing in your house.
ReplyDeleteLoving your old and mew treasures especially the pretty urn with the fern and the key-lock plates are looking gorgeous on the walls. Thanks for letting us peek in. Have a wonderful evening!~Poppy
ReplyDeleteKelly,
ReplyDeleteI love those rusty key holder decor pieces. You can do so many fun things with those.I don't have any roosters left. They are gone, gone, gone. But I do love <3 your small portrait of one.Sometimes those are hard to let go.

Loving the urn! The moss and fern add to the airiness of the wire! Beautiful!

Love your old and new, Kelly. Great magazine weight, idea. I have a passion for old rusty pieces.
ReplyDeleteI love that corner with the chair, Kelly! It looks very inviting. Love the tureen. I've been passing on them at Goodwill in recent months because my whites cabinet is basically filled. Although, since I see them so much, maybe I should just get them and use them on my cabinet tops. You are as bad a Decor Steals addict as I am. In fact, I just drafted a post about it after my most recent purchase from them. Between them and Antique Farmhouse my budget is starting to crack!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly! Oh, your centerpiece is so pretty! and your rusty thingys are so cute! Now you be careful before you toss out that Rooster, us Rooster gals will be outside your back door with our hands out ready to catch it!
