Hello everyone!
Hope your weekend is off to a great start. We are finally getting some wind that is going to bring us cooler temps. I can't wait!
I wanted to share a few vignettes around my home that are vintage inspired. After a trip to the antique/flea market close to my house, I came up with this new vignette on my dresser in the family room.
I found those old scissors and twine.
I have a lot of old book pages and vintage post cards, so I decided to put them on display here.
I also found an old set of antlers that fit perfectly on this wall.
Speaking of vintage, have you seen Barb's new online shop from The Everyday Home? It's called Details. I bought this cute London postmarked pillow from her and set it on my sofa. I really love it! And best of all, my sister is having a giveaway on her blog for a $50 gift certificate to her shop too. You can get this pillow for free! Go sign-up today if you're interested.
On my mantel, I added this unusual arrangement of a cotton branch and burlap flower. I love the soft color and texture it brings. Have you noticed cotton branches becoming popular to decorate with lately? How fun!
On my hearth, I added a wire basket with a driftwood bundle in it. I love to use nature in my decorating.
And last but not least, I took some things to a consignment store to sell and found this. I love it! It goes with the other dog pictures I have already and looks to be vintage. It is signed in pencil too.
Thanks for stopping by!

I love the postcard pillow! and the burlap/twine accents!
Very pretty vignettes Kelly! I love the curly branches in the white urn and the cotton branches and burlap flower in the glass vase.
Love the vignette and the pillow looks good on your sofa. Love the dog picture. Darn wish I had seen it first. I need to take a bunch of stuff there, too. I almost bought some cotton branches last week. Think I will go back to QOH and get them.
The postcards and scissors in that first image are lovely Kelly. When I make my weekly stop at the consignment store I nearly always find something to buy. It really cuts into my profits. Have a great day, Olive
I love the photos....Sitting here with my coffee and (stalking) staring at each little treasure to make sure I don't miss anything hahaha. I love to bring a bit of nature indoors to decorate with, pure and simple! Have a lovely weekend, Xo, Ashley

I will definately sign up for that giveaway. I am redoing my living room and it would be the perfect piece for my new sofa.

Lots of fun accessories! Last year I looked for cotton branches, but they are not to be found in northern Minnesota. Go figure. :@

Kelly, what a wonderful vignette! Love the pages with the scissors; and yes, I've seen a lot of the cotton branches in shops lately. The pillow looks great on your sofa. Barb has some really pretty things! The driftwood is such a nice accent. I saw a piece in a consignment shop today. I almost bought it!

Love your new vignette and antlers!...Yes, seems like cotton branches have made their way back into the homes..I had a beautiful cotton branch wreath many years ago and it eventually disintegrated ... great find on the dog picture!!! Pretty pillow too!!
My fav is the books without covers interspersed with the nice ones. I like that look.
