Hello everyone!
With the sun beaming in the windows and the outside temps finally getting warm, I've been freshening up my home with a few pops of color against all my white. I love how fresh the green looks against the white. It has a garden fresh look, but the white keeps it crisp.
My mantel got a few green and white topiaries and a large white framed mirror borrowed from the dining room. Some white flowers fill an old metal tub. And a green monogrammed pillow makes a nice focal point on the sofa.
My kitchen got a boost of color from a towel donning colorful spoons.
And a small mirror, painted green, now hangs in the windows.
A fern graces the wall basket in the foyer along with some white hydrangeas on the chest.
I replaced the mirror, borrowed from the dining room, with a curvy one that received a fresh coat of white paint before being hung.
I love the look of white framed mirrors mixed with white slipcovers!
So, these are just a few summer changes I've made to my home.

Your pops of green look so fresh Kelly! I don't usually change much out for the spring/summer. I do more changing in the fall and winter. I was just thinking I needed to bring the outside in more!
ReplyDeleteI love your bits of green but I think you are still the bravest person I have read that uses so much white and it stays clean. I am too much of a chicken to use that much.

ReplyDeleteEverything looks very crisp and clean. I have a wall basket and I've never been happy with the flowers I have in it. I never thought to put a fern in it. I'm definitely making that change right away. :) Love the towel with the spoons and the mirror hanging on the windows. You always have such good decorating ideas!

Your home always looks refreshing and inviting!! I keep our bedroom white but I do decorate for the seasons in the other rooms. I have all my red/white and blue out now and will keep them until after the 4th of July. Then it's a clean sweep and that will last a month before I start the FALL decorating!! I NEVER ever TIRE of the fall decor! I AM going to start Christmas the week before Thanksgiving this year. I am SO happy to be HOME and decorating again!!

You know I am loving your apple green accents. There is nothing like that color to my eyes to brighten and freshen a space and make everything look now -- much like Spring itself.
