Hello everyone!
I grabbed my camera to snap some pics of the outside of my house just in time before it started raining. There were mostly clouds outside and not much sun, so this is about as good as I could get for you.
I decorated my house in the same color scheme of red and white, this year.
Wreaths with red and white ribbon were hung on the windows.
Over sized red and white ball ornaments were hung from the porch.
Red ribbon was wrapped around the columns.
Garland with red and white bows surround the front door and a bright red polka dot stocking hangs front and center. Little potted trees with lollipops anchor each side.
A bench is fashioned with pillows and a throw.
As you can see, most of the trees are bare now and the clouds are hanging low.
But the red and white colors of the decorations help cheer me up for now.
Here are a few night time shots.
Each year we shine spotlights on the house. I like to see the house lit up at night among the trees.
The garland around the front door and the little potted trees shine brightly with white lights too.
Merry Christmas!
Thanks for stopping by.

Actually it is better to take outside shots when it is overcast or very early or late in the day so these shots are good. Everything is so cute.
ReplyDeleteKelly,
ReplyDeleteIt is just stunning. Your outside is as beautiful as the inside. Love that porch.

Your porch looks wonderful. I love those large ornaments hanging on the porch.

Very beautiful!! I love the stocking on the front door. We have an oval glass piece in our front door too and I think a round wreath looks weird on an oval, so I never know what to do. The stocking is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Kelly...love the night shots!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I am pea green, I live in a small beach cottage and a big porch isn't part of the deal! What a lovely home you have, inside and out!
ReplyDeleteYour house is gorgeous! I love the red and white colors and the cozy bench and door stocking. We bought flood lights a few days ago, but haven't gotten them out yet. Maybe this afternoon, since we're supposed to see the sun. Yay!
ReplyDeleteLove the night shot Kelly. If you get sun there first please send it here too!

Boy could I just feel the love and joy jumping right off my computer screen.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful warm and friendly home you have. Before we retired we had a large home, but moved to be close to grandkids, and love our little cottage. Easy to clean, fun to decorate (smaller) and fits my dearest and me like a soft glove.
Merry Christmas.
Hey kelly. I have always liked spotlights shining on a house. So pretty. Finally sun today. Yah!
ReplyDeleteMy very favorite are the oversized ornaments...or as Joshua would call them "balls". lol

I say it every year but I LOVE the outside of your house and the night shots are so pretty! this is the craziest weather we're having...when we left home Friday for Atlanta it was hot as a firecracker and then Saturday morning it was freezing! I didn't bring a heavy coat or gloves for tailgating at the game so I was happy to get inside the Georgia Dome...but what a game! War Eagle!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a wonderful Christmas season. How is your son doing at boot camp?
Your home is so pretty all decked out for Christmas! Love the red and white.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful home and porch. Love the bench with the throw and pillows...looks like a great spot to cuddle up with a cup of hot chocolate!
ReplyDeleteI think one of the very first posts of yours that I read was about your front porch (in spring). It's what hooked me on reading your blog. So it is fun to see it now in its Christmas finery. My favorites are the potted trees with lollipops and the ball ornaments. It would brighten up any cloudy day.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks wonderfully cozy! I love the color scheme, I too chose mostly red and white this year. Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteOutstanding! You have such a pretty home, and I love the porch.
