Hello everyone!
Warning: Cute dog sleeping in photos. May cause a serious distraction.
The other day, while shopping at Target, I found this darling blue and white striped pouf. I was drawn to it immediately because it reminded me of a grain sack. I loved it, but thought, "where would I put it?" I decided to grab it anyway because I knew I might regret it later. Well, as soon as I brought it inside, it went right where it belonged.
I loved it next to the white slip covered chair. It filled in an empty spot and added a bit of pattern and color.
Here is a better look at it.
But, then the rest of the room looked a little bit off. So, what else was I to do but start making some subtle changes? It was the least I could do to make this new pouf feel at home.
So, out came some blue and white pillows.
And of course, I needed some blue and white flowers behind the sofa.
Then I draped one of my vintage blue and white grain sacks over the trunk.
And a blue and white monogrammed tea towel over the back of this chair.
I tried to make the room feel balanced.
I would show you one more chair with blue and white pillows, but my dog decided to take over that one too just before I grabbed my camera. He's such a stinker!
So, I'll leave you with this shot instead.
We are enjoying a warming trend outside now. I can't begin to tell you how lovely it feels! And, I hope for all of you still digging out from under the snow, you'll have a change in the weather soon too.
Thanks for stopping by.

Oh, cute pouf. I bet it would be cute in front of the chair in place of the ottoman. Temporarily, of course.

Your little pup is so cute and they do seem to make the assumption that we do all this for them;) The blue and white grain sack pillows are so pretty (I think mine are identical!) They are easy to wash and look pretty year round. I like the linen draped over the wicker seat! I need to find one like that.
ReplyDeleteLeslie
Oh, I love the whole room! The touches of blue are so 'farmhouse fresh'! :)
ReplyDeleteSusan
I like your poof. Did you receive the H&M catalog? Once I ordered they put me on their list but I've been afraid to open it. Bet they have more stuff for your balancing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute pouf! I was a Traget last night, but didn't see any at my store. :(
ReplyDeleteI like how the pouf set off a whole blue stripe trend in the room. The room looks wonderful! It is nice to have a little color in the winter too.
Kelly how cute! I know that our Target here in Canada would not have this!! I love that they are here now I just wish they stocked the same as in the US.
ReplyDeleteI would also try it as a ottoman.
Oh how fantastic that poof/ottoman is...it certainly gave you much inspiration to add those beautiful details in the room!...Love your photo bomber!
ReplyDeleteLove the pouf! And the dog is pretty cute too!
