Hello everyone!
Lately, I've been coveting blue and white colors. So, blue and white transferware is something I'd like to have more of. I found these two plates in just the right shade of blue and added these to my secretary doors for display.
Here is the marking on the back.
It says, Asiatic Pheasants. As I was looking at the pattern of these plates, I realized that my other two blue and white plates are of the same pattern! Except, they are reproductions.
(Reproduction)
(Original)
How about that?! I'm obviously drawn to this pattern.
Since I moved my silver candle holders off the chest in my foyer, they relocated to this secretary.
And I can't believe that the green hydrangeas from my photo shoot, weeks ago, are STILL alive!
Hmmmm...........the roses they brought died in less than a week and probably cost a lot more. I think I like the hydrangeas better!
Hope you enjoyed seeing another item that came home with me from my mini shopping spree!
Thanks for stopping by.

Yes,hydrangeas last a long time as long as they have clean water since they love water. Love those plates.
ReplyDeleteKelly, It all looks so pretty. I like the area all spruced up with your flwoers. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

ReplyDeleteVery pretty Kelly...you always have the prettiest displays on your secretary!
ReplyDeleteThose plates are great Kelly. I love the crackle in them. Such a soft pretty color.
ReplyDeletePretty plates... both the original and the reproduction. :) Hydrangeas.... my favorite .

love the blue & white transferware palates, I collect them also.
ReplyDeletealso the hydrangeas are my favorite flower in any color. I hope mine made it through this harsh winter
ReplyDeleteSuch subtle elegance. Love the touch of blue, and I too adore hydrangeas, especially like the way the green and blue go together.
You are an inspiration every time I visit.
Sending hugs and smiles.
Blue and white transferware is my favorite. I can't ever have enough. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteLove how you have put the blues and whites together. The last photo on this post is just beautiful!!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Cindy
Kelly, the blue and white looks so pretty with your decor! LOVE those hydrangeas. You know those are my faves! You'll get a lot of use out of them!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the blue and white. How funny that it is the same pattern that you bought before and didn't realize it until you got home. I really like the original better because of the "soft faded" quality to it...but he repros are wonderful, too.
ReplyDeleteGreat post. xo Diana
I love your pretty flowered plates, Kelly! And your green hydrangeas bring a nice pop of spring green into the mix. I just tossed mine out from last fall. They collected as much dust as I could handle.
ReplyDeleteI love your secretary, Kelly! Your blue and white plates look wonderful there too. I can't believe your hydrangeas are still doing well. I've passed them up at the grocery store because I didn't think they'd last very long and they were kind of expensive. Well...expensive for "grocery store" flowers anyway. :) Now I'll have to get some.
ReplyDeleteLove hydrangeas! And what a neat coincidence with your plates...so pretty, too. Jane
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a vintage plate in that pattern. The muted colors are just beautiful. I am shocked your Hydrangeas have lasted this long. They only last a few days for me. I always love seeing your pretty secretary.
ReplyDeleteThe secretary is displayed so well. I do love the plates.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find Kelly..love that pattern...and just loving the blues that you are adding to the room!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find, you and Kim find the greatest things. I have the reproduction plates too in a different color. I can't wait to start a small collection of transferware. I love it and I am laughing at the word small. Huge basement and attic it may not wind up being that small, LOL
ReplyDeleteCynthia
I would check those hydrangeas for roots.
ReplyDeleteKelly, Your Asiatic Pheasant plates work beautifully with your decor. LOVE how you styled them on your secretary. Don't you love it when fresh flowers last a long time? Do you think they're getting little roots? IF they do, you might be able to plant them later.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue and white. Looks like your home belongs on the beach. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dishes Kelly,Love your hydrangeas! Can't wait to see those start blooming in my garden.
