Hello everyone!
Just recently, I stumbled upon this beautiful glass bottle at HomeGoods and decided it was too good not to bring home. I knew right where it was going to go too.
Right here!
You see, I've had this oversized wooden pedestal for a while, and haven't figured out exactly how to fill it up. Until now.
This bottle is the perfect size for it!
So, I brought it home and placed it here and filled it with these white fluffy (faux) hydrangeas that I had in my stash.
It doesn't bother me that most of the stems don't reach the bottom either. So, I'm really loving this in my foyer. It's a tall space so something big is necessary to fill it up.
And before I was done taking pictures of this, I decided to add some curly willow sprigs to it. And voila! That was just the small added touch it needed.
So, do you have any good plans for the weekend? I'm hoping to get to go see the new Mission Impossible movie.
Thanks for stopping by.
~ Kelly ~
I love the size and shape of your glass bottle. I wouldn't mind having something like that. Yours looks great.
ReplyDeleteNo major plans for the weekend and that's fine with me - a little painting, a lot of kayaking, a little cycling ...
Oh I love it and I love your wooden pedestal too. Where did you find it, I have been looking for one for ages.
ReplyDeletePERFECT......I want that pedestal too!!!! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteLove both the pedestal and the vase! It looks great in your foyer. Going to the farmer's market on Saturday, hoping to find corn on the cob.
ReplyDeleteOh how pretty! I had seen similar bottles in our Homesense but they were much larger.
ReplyDeleteLove the size of yours! Perfect!
A perfect compliment, Kelly! The entry looks fabulous. I've got to get to Home Goods! lol

Awesome!! A designer once told me that the difference between a great decorator and just a good one usually had to do with the size of things they choose. I think you're doing great!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful bottle....I love the size and shape of it!!! Just perfect :o)

My youngest son is seeing that movie tonight! I am waiting for two little quadlings to arrive! They will be spending 4 nights and 3 days with us!
ReplyDeleteThe other grandparents and we decided to divide and conquer! This will be the first time the kids will have been separated from each other. At least there will be two pairs together!!
A perfect marriage if bottle and pedestal.
ReplyDeletewe are enjoying a long weekend in South Florida. A nice unwinding session. :)
Looks great Kelly!
ReplyDeleteWell it certainly looks like they were purchased together! I'd say you found the perfect mate! The curly willow adds just the right amount of height too. We're adding a little something to our kitchen cabinets this weekend. I think we already have all the wood, so it shouldn't cost a dime. Love those kinds of projects! Have fun at the movies. I just added that movie to my Netflix queue last night. Looks like a good one!
ReplyDeleteLove that bottle and I like what you did with it..Might do some work in my garden if I can stand the heat..Enjoy your weekend..

ReplyDeleteLove that bottle. I have seen it at HG and was tempted.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the movie.Looks like a fun one.
We just took part in a 'boot sale', which is apparently what the English call neighborhood tag sales. Now we are on our way to home depot than a bonfire tonight. Hopefully a nap before that ;).

Kelly, if the space between the bottom of the stems and the bottom of the bottle starts getting to you, it could always be filled with something. The ol' standby, flat marbles, or maybe cotton to stay with the white color scheme. sea shells, perhaps. White corn or beans ? Just a thought. It's a GREAT bottle!
ReplyDeleteKelly your foyer display is so perfect, and the new jar just makes it even more so. Have a great weekend. Jo
ReplyDeleteThat's a great find! It really makes a statement. The willow sprigs really did the trick! No real plans for this weekend, which is ok since the week was so busy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love glass bottles. I've used quite a few of them decorating this summer. My husband and I are seeing MI this afternoon. I hope it's good. Hope you're having a nice Sunday Kelly.
ReplyDeleteLove your idea of pairing a beautiful bottle with the wooden pedestal, Kelly!
