Hello everyone!
The other day, I stumbled upon these pretty draperies in a soft grey and white pattern. As soon as I saw them I instantly thought of my kitchen. I have a lot of white in there with some grey accents. So, I thought these draperies would be another way to bring in some grey along with a soft pattern.
These draperies were already lined too. So, that was a bonus!
Another change I made was bringing a lamp back in here on the counter top.
Since I don't have pendant lighting over this peninsula, this lamp adds some much needed light. I seem to change my mind about this alot, but in the end, I think the lamp wins!
Now that the weekend is here, what do you have planned? Anything fun?
Thanks for stopping by!

They suit your kitchen perfectly! And I love your kitchen, especially the French doors. So much beautiful sunlight! I plan on cleaning up some old tables I found and hopefully start painting them. A little messier than hanging up pretty drapes! Have a super weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove your new drapes..Perfect for you..I try not to go shopping for that very reason...Our peach Festival is this weekend so I'll poke my head in over there..Enjoy your weekend..

ReplyDeletedrapes or no new drapes love it all
especially that you have lots light from your windows
spotted your ironstone Fromage on the counter

really pretty drapes. I like how they soften the light while letting it in. score for you.
ReplyDeleteThe new drapes are very pretty! I like the view from your sink with the dining area and black cabinet. We are celebrating hubby's birthday tomorrow with a family bbq and then youngest son and I are headed up north with my sister's family to bil's lodge. Hubby and oldest son have to work. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteWow Kelly those were a perect find! Love the soft sunlight on them. I like the lamp on the island. I'm sure that in the evenings it looks perfect!

ReplyDeleteThey look so soft and pretty, Kelly! I also love your sign and the hanging light. What a charming home you have... Xo, ~julie
ReplyDeleteKelly, the curtains look super great. I am thinking about adding some curtains in our kitchen nook as well. I have not done it in the past because we back up to a forest and it's so pretty to have the windows all open. BUT I think curtains like yours really add warmth to a space. How are you liking the chair slipcovers from World Market? Have you washed them yet? I have them in our formal dining room so we don't sit there every day. xoxoxoxo Christine
ReplyDeleteI love the curtains and yes a plus with the lining. The lamp looks so cute.
ReplyDeleteLove the pretty new drapes Kelly. Gorgeous in the kitchen. Love the lamp on the peninsula too. Have a wonderful week end.

Your new draperies look wonderful in your dining space. I like the lamp, too. I also keep one on my peninsula. The way you capture light in your photos is outstanding. It seems that overtime I point the camera toward a window, I either get a big black hole or a blinding whiteout. What is your secret?
ReplyDeleteKelly, what a great find with the draperies! I love the pretty soft flowing look that they bring to the dinning area, and I love to see a lamp on the kitchen tops it very unexpected and lovely. Have a great weekend. Jo
