Hello everyone!
Well, it's getting closer and closer to Christmas day so I've started my gift wrapping. We did most of our shopping online so that really freed up our time! As things come in, I wrap them in the dining room. Then set them around the tree. Since we have a table top tree, I had to place the gifts near it, not necessary underneath the tree. We're still waiting on just a couple of more items, but so far, I'm caught up.
I try to wrap most of my items and avoid gift bags. Gift bags take up more space and cost more. I enjoy the creative process of adorning a package. So, the odd shaped items went in gift bags and the rest got wrapped.
I stayed within my color scheme of white, gold and silver to match my Christmas decor. I bought my wrapping paper, gift bags and tags at Target and my ribbon from Joann's.
I loved being able to mix and match since it all worked together. I made sure that my ribbon wasn't full of glitter too. Last year, I made the mistake of buying ribbon that released glitter everywhere once you touched it. So, Christmas morning was a big mess! Ha!
I like that this wrapping paper is almost an "all occasion" style. It would work fine for any time of year really!
Have you started Christmas wrapping yet?
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great weekend.

I've made that same mistake with glittery ribbon. What a mess! :) You chose such pretty papers! I definitely think it could be used year round. Your table top tree is gorgeous! I've wrapped a few things, but still have a lot more to do. I think every single one of our gifts were bought online too. Love that!
ReplyDeleteso pretty, Kelly! I haven't started yet, still waiting for a few things to come in. I did all my shopping online this year. it was so much easier, and I got great deals!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and festive Kelly. Love your packages. I am a big ribbon tier on my packages instead store bought bows. Nothing wrong with those I just love the way ribbon tied on a package looks. Love all of yours. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Friday and wonderful week end.

ReplyDeleteWe have it pretty easy this year. Not many presents to wrap, although I do enjoy the process of picking out the oater and ribbons. Everything looks so pretty and festive Kelly. Beautiful choices!
ReplyDeleteYour wrapping is pretty. I use mostly pretty gift bags. I make them pretty and hang itms from the bags to make them special. I get mine from Home Goods. They are beautiful and so inexpensive. I haven't started yet

I think your smaller tree is far prettier than any full-size ones I've seen online. And I love the elegant color scheme!

Your packages look so pretty and your bows look great. I think you should give some tips on tying bows.
ReplyDeleteI haven't wrapped any of our packages yet!!!!
My daughter has wrapped some gifts, but I haven't wrapped anything yet. I have a cold and don't feel like doing anything, but I need to get busy.

My daughter has had her gifts wrapped since last February LOL !!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not even finished buying BUT I'm almost done my Christmas baking - does that count for anything?
Your gifts look gorgeous Kelly - LOVE that paper !
One year I wrapped everything in black and white newspaper and tied them with red ribbons and bows - everyone got a pair of plastic gloves in their stockings to keep their hands clean when opening their main gifts lmho - looked pretty but I was filthy after wrapping them !!!

Pretty packages..Love the color theme..Cute tree..Glad you are all aught up..I have a few quickie errands tomorrow and then I should be done!! It will be over before we know it.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Kelly...I love your tree too!!!
ReplyDeleteI wrapped all day today. I opened a roll of silver paper and glitter went everywhere... I actually put it away, I'll use it on some other project, not presents. Kelly, your gifts are beautiful! I hope you save the ribbon. Some dumpster diver will be thrilled LOL! We'll see your pretty ribbon on some website after Christmas :-) Love that table top tree too! One day I'll have one!
ReplyDeleteI love the color scheme you used for your gifts. The colors are neutral, and they provide just the right touch of classiness and beauty. I agree that the presentation can be used for other occasions throughout the year, especially birthdays and weddings. The thought of avoiding the ribbons coated with glitter is a great word of advice. Great job.
