A Mini Christmas Tour of my Home

Hello everyone!

I'm feeling a bit behind this year since my calendar has been full of appointments lately.  I think January won't be much better either.  We're getting some improved health benefits in 2018, so I'm putting off some of those appointments until then.  My son may need glasses, and he needs to see an orthopedic doctor about his shoulders not being symmetric.  My dog has been dealing with an eye ulcer that won't heal too. I still have yet to do much Christmas shopping and my oldest son's birthday is this Friday.  So..................it has been a hectic time for us.  I'm glad that I still have some time to get things done before Christmas and I'm glad I'm not hosting it this year too.  That should help out a lot!  So, needless to say, some of my blogging has taken a back seat lately.  I do find time to post on Instagram more frequently though.  So, please follow me there if you would like!  You can find it HERE.

For now, here are a few pics of my home interior decorated for the holidays.

In my foyer, a strand of silver tinsel garland with white lights surrounds the mirror.  A small bowl of silver ornaments and some gold bells complete the look.

The dining room is all about a white Christmas.  White flowers and pom pom garland adorn the table.

The wall hutch is filled with glittery gold Christmas accessories. And for a bit of whimsy, I hung silver glittered letters that represent our family members initials.

In the sitting room, across the hall, a small table top tree sits inside a large galvanized tub.  It is flocked with silver and white ornaments.

Heading down towards the family room, you can see a flocked Christmas tree straight ahead.

It sits atop a wooden planter box covered with faux fur.  It is adorned in gold, silver and white ornaments.  Most of them have a French look to them.

I love the little houses that light up on the tree!

Metallic pastels were brought in for the mantel and coffee table.  Tinsel trees adorned with miniature ornaments flank each side of the mantel and knit stockings from Anthropologie hang below.

A few metallic gold and white throw pillows were added to the sofas as well.

In the powder room, a tiny silver tinsel tree was added to the vanity.  Nothing more was needed.

In the kitchen, a small reindeer painting was added for a bit of whimsy.

I will share more photos as I get more accomplished.  The outside is ready!  So, I will share that soon as well.

I hope you are having a great month of December so far!  I'm trying not to get caught up in the frenzy of it all but rather find time to enjoy the reason for the season.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  4. Kelly,
Your home looks like a beautiful white winter wonderland! Love how you put your tree in a planter and used faux fur as a tree skirt. What I most love about your Christmas décor is that its so elegant and tasteful looking and not over-done.

Enjoy the season...I still have some shopping to do too but will finish up this week and then the hubby & I will kick back do some Christmas house tours, go to a Christmas show and tour our local botanical gardens all decked out in holiday lights and décor.

  19. Your home always looks beautiful Kelly! I'm behind in reading some of your blog posts. So happy your little fur baby is better since you posted this. I just noticed that your bay window is painted a different color. I love it! It gives that area a lot of depth! I used a galvanized tub for one of my tabletop trees too this year. Found it a garage sale so it has a lot of beautiful rustic patina! Hopefully, I'll get my d corn down in a few days. I've been under the weather with a cold that has turned into an upper respiratory infection. Happy New Year and hope 2018 finds you all healthy and prosperous in every area of your life!
