Fluffing the Pillows

Hello everyone!

It has been such a beautiful day today.  The sun has been streaming in the windows and making everything look light and bright.  It's been a nice change. 

While enjoying the warm sunshine coming in, I was fluffing the pillows on my sofa and thought I'd share with you what I've recently done.  I have always loved pillows.  In fact, I have an attic full of them to prove my point.  However, as much as I love pillows, I also like to change things up a bit.  Instead of using throw pillows on my sofa, I used bed pillows!  That's right............you heard that correctly. 

You see, since I have slipcovers on my furniture, they usually have a slouchy look to them.  I mean that in a good way though.   Bed pillows tucked into pretty pillow shams actually transformed the look of my sofa! They somehow just go better with that look.

And, I must say, they are much more comfortable to lean back against than the throw pillows that I had on here before.  They are also washable!  I like the look of a sofa that beckons someone to come over and have a seat. 

Plus, it gives my sofa a cleaner look.  I like the change.

My chair got a new pillow too.  It got a European square pillow from Simply Shabby Chic.

I love how comfortable it is.  In fact I used to always pull the throw pillow out from behind my back when I sat here, but not anymore! 

However, don't think I'm done with throw pillows altogether!  No, that will never happen.  In fact, I am expecting this one to arrive any day now in the mail.

It's from Antique Farmhouse (a division of Wuslu).  I will probably add it to the other side chair in the room.  It is a very large pillow.  I'm looking forward to it completing my new over sized pillow look that I've got going on in the room.  It certainly makes the room more inviting and more casual.

This is just another example of thinking outside the box!
