Hello everyone!
I am still sneezing and whining about it, but it is getting a tad better (or maybe I've just become used to it by now). I thought I'd share with you the reason for all this sneezing too. Let's take a tour of what's been blooming in my yard this past week (yes in just one week).
Warning: lots of pics and this is not everything blooming. Ha!
Crab apple Tree
Razzleberry Bushes
Hosta
Camelia Bush
Holly Bushes
Cherry Tree
Jasmine Vine
Lillies
Rose Bushes
Knock-out Rose Bushes
Forsythia Bushes
Butterfly Bushes
And..............there's so much more that I didn't even show a picture of. My iris's and tulips (leaves only so far), honeysuckle, hydrangea etc. Me and my husband are planning on doing some more yard work this weekend. We need to continue putting fresh straw out. He pruned all of our bushes and put out weed killer. Our grass is slowly greening up and the weeds are starting to die. Work, work, work! Anyone want to come over and help us?
Thanks for stopping by!
~ Kelly ~
Wow, you do have a lot in bloom! Things are just starting to sprout around here. All of our Bradford pear trees bloomed a few weeks ago and are now full of leaves. My knockout roses have buds; but, haven't opened yet. The hostas are popping up; and the grass is green. It won't be long now!!
ReplyDeleteKelly, you must have the most beautiful yard on the block! I so wish I had more blooming bushes and plants. And so many of yours are not native to us. Love the razzleberry! Never saw one! Just beautiful. And yes, it's all hard work, too. We haven't even started, but we could still get snow here!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great week!
XO,
Jane
You have a lot of work to do, and I can see why you're sneezing. Me, I sneeze, and cough. I have post nasal drip, and it drives me crazy. Love the blooms, hate the reaction. I know your landscaping will be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou have some beautiful flowering plants Kelly! I have allergies too, but not to pollen. Mine is to mold, dust mites and cat dander....It is always allergy season for me :-(
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize you had that many flowering bushes and trees. Our yard is solid WEEDS! What weed killer did he use?
ReplyDeleteWow, this is gorgeous, Kelly! You are a tad bit ahead of us. Our Hosta are just now peeking through.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how luxurious all the flowering trees and shrubs are this year. We are enjoying it all. With itchy eyes and sneezing, I might add.;-)
Kelly I never heard of a Razzleberry Bush it's gorgeous! Your yard looks great!
ReplyDeleteI have to do the weed killer on my gravel walk, but have to wait til I am not babysitting the little dog..your bushes are very nice! YOu have quite an assortment of them, I love gardening!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you're a wheezing sneezing mess, that's a lot of blooming blooms. Technically nothing should be blooming yet here in Minnesota but the weather has tricked a few things, one being a forsythia bush at property we rent. Hope when the April snow that we are sure to get at least once, comes, that the bush is ok.

Your cherry tree and Camila bush are beautiful! The birds ate all the berries off of our holly tree already.
ReplyDeleteThe pollen count is higher in Augusta, Ga. than has ever been measured so I am sure yours is real high as well. You have as many ornamentals as we do. I am the yard man here and just finished cutting grass with the push mower yesterday. Your Carolina Jasmine is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOh it is work isn't it? Can't get over your knock out roses. Mine are just barely showing a little green. Loved seeing all of your lovelies!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the sneezing though. :o)
Everything looks so pretty. My hostas are poking their heads up, too and the hydrangeas are almost ready :)
ReplyDeleteblessings,

I think "bloom overload" is a great term for what is going on, Kelly! I swear it seems things just popped overnight! I am overwhelmed at the trees, bushes and bulbs that are blooming so strongly right now when I think they are really about a month ahead of schedule. It is certainly beautiful and I don't mind seeing it. I just dread to think what August is going to be like!
ReplyDeleteWow, all that will keep you busy. It's all very pretty.
ReplyDeleteWelcome Spring! You have some lovely landscape species but I'm sure you will be busy.
ReplyDeleteYour yard and flowers are beautiful! Ours is a bit of a disaster after the dry hot summer and fall we had. Lots of work to be done!!! LOL

You have some lovely shrubs that we can't grow in zone 3. Thanks for sharing, since we won't see blooms for quite some time up north.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty, Kelly! I always love seeing forsythia in the spring...it's the first thing to bloom around here!
ReplyDeleteJust appreciating the freshness of spring and its promise is great medicine
ReplyDeleteYour trees are beautiful, Spring in full bloom enjoy. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe downside to all these wonderful blooms is the sneezing and stuffiness. Our tulips are in full bloom, but our hostas haven't started to appear yet.
ReplyDeleteKelly, Oh how beautiful! Your yard with all it's spring growth is just gorgeous! Our yard looks terrible...we put down I don't know how many bags of Weed and Feed and I swear I think we feed the weeds and not the grass. Enjoy your day, Gail
ReplyDeleteOne of the gifts of spring, allergies! Mine are starting so I began using Flonase again. It works for my allergies. The blooms are beautiful. Spring has arrived in Michigan very early. My pear tree is in full bloom and my neighbors magnolia tree is blooming! Hope you're feeling better soon
