Hello everyone!
I brought out my collection of shells to display in the foyer on my pine chest.
This time of year, when the weather starts warming up, I'm always looking for things that bring a summery feel into my home other than flowers and white slipcovers.
Shells always seem to be the perfect addition.
I filled my cement urn with miscellaneous shells, abalone, starfish, coral and a sea fan. I love the different shades of white and texture it brings to the room.
I also brought my dough bowl in here from the coffee table. I like the book bundles mixed with the shells. It has a vintage feel to it.
Thanks for stopping by!
~ Kelly ~

I love your shell display. It is so fresh feeling. Also, when looking at your photo I couldn't help but notice the three white wall hangings in the background. Are these the entomology plates from Ballard Designs? Would you do a close up of these? I love them and would like to see a better picture.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Kyla

ReplyDeleteI love to collect shells and sand dollars from the beaches near here. That hall vignette is lovely! Summer is still quite a way off up here, so I'll enjoy it vicariously at your house.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Kelly. The seashells and starfish add a nice delicate look to the more rustic scrubbed pine and dough bowl (both pieces I adore.) A very pretty vignette.
ReplyDeleteYour shells are lovely but I am so in love with that dough bowl!
