Flowers, Flowers Everywhere

Hello everyone!

Tonight we'll celebrate my husbands birthday.  He will be another year older on Monday.  Seems like it has been one celebration after another around here.

Today,  I thought I'd share with you some flowers that have been popping up around my house lately.  No, not real flowers, but the modern day FAKE ones that don't need watering and never die.  Ha!

I put this arrangement together for the sitting room.  It's a mix of purple and green.  I love it mixed with the white.

Y'all know who much I love orchids right?  I have one live one that is still doing well (thank goodness).  However, I also have a few ..... not live ones.  Ha!  This one is purple and white and I placed it in my favorite urn in my family room. I really like the look of purple and pink mixed with grey and white.  So, I've been adding these pops of color throughout my house.

On my chest of drawers on the opposite side of the room, I filled a wicker wrapped bucket with pink and white peonies.

In the dining room, I decided a pop of purple would jazz things up a bit.  I removed the fern and replaced it with a bouquet of purple hydrangeas.

And, finally, you may recall I once had this arrangement in the family room.  Now that I have lilacs in there, I decided to place these in the foyer.

I'm sprinkling summer flowers around the house.  With all the white, it adds just enough color and cheer that my rooms need.

I'm loving peonies, orchids, hydrangeas, lilacs and peace lily lately.  These are my "summer decorations"!

With summer activities in full swing around here, I will be posting less often.  I will be visiting you all regularly though.

Thanks for stopping by!

~ Kelly ~

Hi Kelly, thanks for dropping by to visit and your lovely comment. I might have to try out the donut recipes. Did you see the pancake ball recipe on my blog. It's easy and so good. I love flowers too and there is nothing wrong with silks.
You have a lovely collection. I hope your husband has a wonderful birthday.

The peonies are gorgeous, my favorite flower by far, but the nurseries in my area haven't sold them for the past two years :( Anyhow, I may have to buy the fake ones =) Xo, Ashley

Love all the arrangements you put together, Kelly! I just bought some purple lilacs from Hobby Lobby after seeing so many people with their live cuttings. Of course, I miss out on the smell, but I do like the way they look.

I like that look too Kelly. Often I look at rooms I love, and I see that they are shades of grey and white or tan and then pink flowers in a vase...boom. I fall in love!

Your flowers look so pretty sprinkled around your home. I like the ones that don't need any attention too. They're made to look so real these days!

They all look so beautiful Kelly and so summery! I will live vicariously through you since the weather here is yucky and very non-summery. :-) And congrats to your son on his graduation and to you guys for getting him to that important milestone!

Hi Kelly
We got back from the lake over the weekend. I am trying to get back to blogging new stuff and news etc. And visiting!

It is taking me a bit to rest up from resting at the lake.:-)

I love your faux bouquets. Beautiful additions to your rooms for Summer.
