Hello everyone!
There's nothing quite like a little summer tradition of sitting around a campfire making smores. That's just what we did this weekend. In fact, we did it in our own backyard!
So, I filled a plate with the ingredients for smores and headed out to the campfire that my husband built.
It was a very nice night out. Perfect for sitting around a fire.
Roasting marshmallows. Our dog, Max, joined in the fun too. He collected sticks for us!
We had fun. Now time to go in and wash our sticky hands! Ha!
We are expecting several days of rain this week. Guess we will be inside for awhile now.
Thanks for stopping by!

Sounds like fun Kelly! We love making smores!
ReplyDeleteWhat, and you didn't invite moi? I love smores. What fun. No, really I'm not eating sweets right now, but I do love them.
ReplyDeleteKelly,
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun night. Those are our favorites too.We normally only do that in the winter by our fireplace. We don't have a fire pit.Well for that matter we don't have a patio of any kind yet :-( .

Great memory making! We love to make smores when we camp but we put a little fire pit in our backyard for all the other times. Yum!
ReplyDeleteOh sounds like so much fun! I know we also have signs of rain all next week.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun family treat, Kelly!
ReplyDeleteThat looked like such fun! We had a wiener roast in the back yard a couple of nights before the wedding - it will be the last one until the fall as we are now under wild fire restrictions and may not burn anything at all, even in the indoor fireplace.
ReplyDeleteThat is what we are going to be doing this week! Isn't it so much fun. We are driving home from the lake right now :)
ReplyDeleteHave an awesome week.

ReplyDeleteHi Kelly: Yeah!! Smores. I haven't had them in the longest time. Glad you beat the rain..Happy Sunday..Judy
ReplyDeleteWould be nice to this outdoors for my kids some day - hopefully soon. They keep asking - we have done it indoors over the stove - not the same excitement but still delicious.
ReplyDeleteyou are making me hungry! (and I am NOT even pregnant!)
ReplyDeleteSmores are the best! What a great way to start the summer.

We had a fire and made smores, too! The grandkids always think it's fun!
ReplyDeleteOh Kelly, i wish I could find someone to do that with me....but then again, if I made a campfire, I think the neighbors would call the fire dept!!...One day, I will have that fireplace!!...I remember the great summers with "the kids"...the little things like making smores makes everyone happy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun night! Every summer I tell myself that we need a fire pit so we can make smores.
