Hello everyone!
For a long time, I've been considering painting my bench in the foyer. After I used the chalk paint in my dining room, I decided to try it on my bench as well. I thought it would blend in better with the mirror hanging above it.
I was right. It softened the look of it and makes the white and grey pillows stand out more.
It used to be an orangey pine color. I like pine, but this one had more of a stained look to it, which I thought didn't look as good.
I used French Linen ASCP on it and then a dark wax. On the handles (which were iron) I painted over them in the chalk paint and then used some white craft paint I had on hand. I decided to sand that down to look old.
I'm happy with the result.
I also decided to make some changes to my family room ....... once again!
Have you ever made changes and kept feeling like something just wasn't right? Well, that is what kept happening to me. I would think it looked good in pictures, but it felt a bit crowded in person and didn't flow as well as it could.
Here is a sneak peek of my changes in there.
I will share the rest of the changes later. I know, I'm mean. Ha!
It has finally stopped raining and the sun is coming back out today. Yay! I crave sunny days (even though the rain was needed).
I believe my cold is really allergies. It's that time of year and I haven't been around anyone with a cold. It's probably from ragweed. I think the rain helped my allergies though!
Thanks for stopping by!
