Nordic Christmas Decor

Hello everyone!

I am happy to say that I'm done with my Christmas decorating.  I kept things simple and light this year and it actually helped me enjoy it more this year.  I've even already made a fresh gingerbread house for the kitchen.  What????  Guess I'm feeling the energy from the medicine my doctor put me on from my illness I suffered recently.  They're called "steroids".  LOL!  Guess I'll enjoy them while they last a few more weeks.  Too bad I can't stay on them.

Anyway............moving right along.  Here are some pics of my family room in the fresh "Nordic style" that I've come to love.

It's just a simple mix of greenery, white and silver ball ornaments, ivory sweater stockings, paper whites, pine cones and candles.  I love how uncluttered it feels and has a wintry feel to it (despite all the white).

My tree is done in a red, white and grey Swedish country style that I'll share later.  It's in the next room over.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Good Morning Kelly, the house is charming and has that subtle winter white beauty. I have taken many steriod dose packs and they are interesting. Also gave high doses IV to my patients-who never then slept. Am glad you are better, now I have a cold. I may actually get dressed and leave the house today. Or not. Happy Christmas, Olive

  15. It looks wonderful, Kelly. I haven't started inside but did get wreaths and garlands up outside. Don't have the lights yet though. My husband is sick and I had an EGD today and it's raining. Don't know what excuse I will have tomorrow.

  24. You do this style really really well! One would think, looking at these photos, that one was looking at a house in Sweden or Norway.

When I first started blogging, I was always looking at the Scandinavian blogs, wanting to emulate the look. However, at this point in my life I have too much stuff to start over!
