Hello everyone!
Well............it's here! The over sized vintage style sign that I've been waiting for. It's the perfect accent for my kitchen over the french doors.
Of course, once I hung it, I realized that the items that were hanging on the wall beside the doors would have to change. They competed with the sign. A sign of this size commands attention!
So I decided to go with simple white platters on each side of the door.
The sign is made of wood and painted in black and white with a vintage green color on the frame. The green color was unexpected to me, but I actually love it.
I believe this is my favorite purchase from Antique Farmhouse so far!
And, do you see my kitchen chairs below? I've got something in the works for them that I'm very excited about. Will share soon.
Do you love old looking signs too?
Thanks for stopping by.

Kelly, love that sign. Is that your official title now? Let me guess, are you putting some green somewhere on the chairs now?..Whatever you decide will be special, I've no doubt..Happy Wednesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! It looks perfect above the doors! I think the platters are a wonderful choice for the walls too. The sign is even prettier than on the website. I think you did a better job photographing it than they did.
ReplyDeleteLove the new sign Kelly...your kitchen looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE old signs. I actually have one I bought probably 35 years ago in my living room. It's for war saving stamps. Got it at an old antique place and I've carried it with me everywhere I've lived. Which is quite a lot of places! Love your sign. Does it mean someone who deals with herbs?

I LOVE it. Great choice. Not sure what it means, but it looks good. Love the white platters, too. I still want your light. Must sneak over and steal it.

ReplyDeleteGreat sign! I think it means herbalist/herb doctor.
ReplyDeleteThat is one cool sigh! It looks great here and I love the plates on each side! You really do well with spaces on your walls, wish I had your talent!
ReplyDeleteXO,

ReplyDeleteOh my I think I know what your chair project is! I had better get busy...will be in touch in a day or two. I love your sign. It really is perfect for over your door.
ReplyDeleteI'm just seeing this now (I'm so behind on my blogging!). It is absolutely perfect in that spot. Adore it!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's big and it makes a great impact above the door. Herboriste is actually a natural medicine/products shop. Not quite like a health food store, but more like a place to buy tinctures (made from herbs), herbs for teas and all natural remedies. We have those in Italy as well. We call it "erboristeria"
ReplyDeleteI can see why it is your favorite purchase...it is awesome!!...Looks fantastic over the doors...and yes, that domino effect always comes into play!...I hope I can find some great signs in France!
ReplyDeleteLove the sign, love the room!
