Hello everyone!
I've always loved candles. I prefer simple white candles in a clear or frosted container or chunky pillars grouped together. I love the ambiance that candles provide. I also don't think they should be reserved for holidays only.
With it being too hot to burn a fire in the fireplace, I like to light candles instead.
I've placed several on my coffee table and mantel and really enjoy the soft light they put out.
On the front porch, I placed my favorite lantern between the two rocking chairs.
We like to sit outside at night and listen to the sounds of crickets as the candle burns softly. It fills the porch with soft light that only a candle can provide.
Do you like to burn candles in the summer too?
Thanks for stopping by!
~ Kelly ~

Your home and porch look lovely with candles burning. I liked to light candles during dinner when our girls were growing up because it created a calm atmosphere after the chaos of the day. Somehow I've gotten out of the habit, but I'm thinking I need to get those candles out again. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a sweet little dish the candles are in. Yes, I love candles at all times of the year and summer too!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about candles!
ReplyDeleteI burn a scented candle just about every single day.
I think between Tyler, White Barn and Yankee I keep them in business!
I love your soft sweet pics, so pretty.
I too love to burn candles. My gave is Seda France's Japanese Quince! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see your pretty pictures with the candles burning...it does seem like most people stop burning them after the holidays. I burn them non stop. My living room and kitchen are open and I don't want cooking smells everywhere and of course if you have pets, it's nice to have a fresh scent in the air. My favorite is to burn a little tea light candle next to my sink and when we have company, I have a few in the powder room to "light the way"!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Love the pillars on the scalloped plate....so pretty! I too burn candles year round and usually only white. Every once in a while I will buy a Yankee candle to burn in the kitchen though. Have a great week :o)

I love to burn pretty candles all year long. I love the soft light flickering too. So calming and romantic. It just slows life down to enjoy it a little more.

I do like to burn candles. Usually I just have one or two with a soft scent. I like the way you've placed them around though. Your pictures are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYes.. love candles, all sizes shapes & types! Yours looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteI have gotten into burning candles in the house after aways being afraid I would burn the place down...I bought one recently at Coldwater Creek and paid $20 for it...and it didn't burn or last any longer then the ones I buy at Walmart for $5. the Better Homes and Gardens ones....

ReplyDeleteOh, I love candles. Any time of year. Especially when it's storming outside.

I love candles too. I have them all over. They have such a peaceful feel to them.
ReplyDeleteCandles create a wonderful ambiance. And you're right, they're great to use all year round.

There is nothing so lovely as candlelight! Makes EVERYTHING - including ME! - look better!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so romantic! I don't burn candles often enough…always afraid my son or the dog will knock them over!
ReplyDeleteI love candles too...and burn them year round.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Cindy
Hi Kelly, your pictures are so pretty . How gorgeous it must look in real time. I love candles too but, I must admit, that I have been using the battery operated ones with timers. It is such a thrill to look outside and see them burning and you don't expect it because you didn't light them, BUT there really is nothing like the real thing and I do have some that are close by with beautiful scents..Happy Wednesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteI love the fluted dish your candles are sitting in. Yes, I love to light candles all through the year.
ReplyDeleteI loooove candles also. Does your hubby shun them? Mine does as he was not allowed any candles growing up (his Dad being a firefighter). Whenever his Dad visits us, I put all my candles away to avoid a lecture lol
ReplyDeleteI love candles, too. But for some unknown reason I am afraid of the open flame. What do you think of the new flameless LED candles? I am thinking of investing in some better quality ones.
ReplyDelete*Smiles*
Very serene post...I can't have candles here..Just as well..
ReplyDeleteI am a huge candle person too! I love them everywhere for the same reason and they are so romantic. I burn them all year long. I know many people don't.

I think candles are so beautiful, and I like the ambiance light they provide. I would love to sit on your front porch at night listening to nature (...and I LOVE that lantern)
ReplyDeleteKelly, your photographs are beautiful! I love that scalloped bowl. I like to burn candles too. I even have a candelabra in my fireplace that I like to light in the summer time. I keep a wax warmer candle thingy in the kitchen to burn mostly baking scented cubes in, but throughout the rest of the house I like the white candles like yours.
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly, I love the sound of crickets too! And frogs..love that big lantern on your porch!
ReplyDeleteKelly, you amaze me!!!! love your decor..
ReplyDeleteyes i burn mine around 7.30 pm.. after my shower when I feel cozy..

Pretty candle vignettes and I love the lantern on your porch. We used to light the candles and sit on the deck, but this year we haven't done it much. Hmmm. Thanks for the reminder about candles. I'm getting mine out and lighting them.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I love is candles outside at night, but it stays light so long I'm usually ready for bed by the time it gets dark!
ReplyDeleteBliss
So romantic Kelly!...I am going to place a candle on my porch and listen to the deer rustle in the trees!...:)
ReplyDeleteI love how you placed the three candles in that beautiful scalloped bowl!!...
I love burning candles in the summer, Kelly. your porch looks very inviting. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteGreat reminder, Kelly. Your candles look so lovely, I'm inspired to light a few, too.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Patti
That pitcher and hydrangeas look gorgeous!
I love candles, too. I light them almost every night! Once my good friend was coming over for dinner, and when she saw all the candles she said, "Are we having a seance?" She's a smarty pants.
ReplyDeleteLove your candles and lantern, Kelly. I don't burn candles enough ... having fallen victim to the battery operated ones! I need to change that! :)
