Hello everyone!
Looks like I got a great response on my last post about H&M. I'm hoping to receive my new things sometime next week. I would love to see what you all ordered once you get yours too. By the way, many of you didn't know they sold housewares. It turns out that they are only sold online. A person commented that she is from Sweden (the home place of the store) and was told they didn't sell the housewares inside their stores, only online! Who knew??? That may explain why some of you never knew they sold housewares.
Speaking of new goodies, I wanted to share just a few new items that came in recently. I ordered these before I left for vacation.
This reproduction medallion wall tile came from Antique Farmhouse.
I just fell in love with it the moment I saw it! So, it ended up in my foyer here.
I also got this cute monogrammed hand towel. It came from Laurieannas Vintage Home.
It is now in my kitchen.
And I got this fluted metal pan there too.
I ended up placing it on my secretary and filling it with old book bundles.
So, these are just a few new goodies I've received and enjoyed finding a place for. I think I'm going to clean out my storage area of my basement and take a lot of it to the consignment store. I've saved a lot of stuff that I just don't know if I'll really ever use or not. It's just collecting dust and I'd rather someone else be able to enjoy it. It's just so darn hard to know what to part with though!!! Are you like that too?
Hope you all are having a nice weekend so far.
Next week, school starts back and I have about a million things to do on top of that next week! It will be an early morning tomorrow taking my son to middle school camp to get familiar with his new school too.
My oldest son has decided to go into the Marine Reserves too. So, I have things to do with that as well. Busy, busy, busy!
Thanks for stopping by!
~ Kelly ~
You've been busy since returning home. I love all your 'finds' - and good for you for clearing out a bit to make room for more finds!
ReplyDeleteCute things! I'm afraid I've had to put myself on a strict budget until my bank account comes out of shock from the kitchen reno (and my hubby too :). I'll just have to admire your cute things hehe
ReplyDeleteYour new finds looks so pretty around your home. I really like the ceiling tin!
ReplyDeleteYou all really have an early school start date. It's still summertime!!

I thought H&M simply sold clothes, too, and I went to the website and was so shocked! I did not, however, peek at the Home section, I don't need to be enticed! I do love your new things...the pie tin is so cute and I like it with your book bundles. I get so much inspiration seeing how everyone uses found pieces.
ReplyDeleteSchool already? It's still summer!!! ;-D
XO,
Jane
You got some really nice things! I love that hand towel. I can't believe y'all are already starting back to school...we don't go back for almost another month. :) I didn't realize you had a basement. I totally wish we could have those here, but we're too close to sea level. Enjoy your Sunday!
ReplyDeleteThose are some really nice pieces, Kelly. Good luck with all your back to school running around.
ReplyDeleteLove all your new finds, Kelly. The medallion looks great there in the foyer and I have that same wire cloche but mine has a bird on top. You will be VERY busy next week, it is hard to believe that the kids are going back to school already!!!! Where di summer go??? XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteYou've found some great new accessories. Now, you ordered from Laurie Anna's online...right? It's so close to my house and I'd be bummed if you came this far and I didn't know it. :) You'd die if you saw the store. It's down a country highway in what looks like an old office/shopping center. The store is rather large now and air conditioned which is a plus when you go to Canton. I could stay there for hours! They are so nice and the prices are so reasonable.
ReplyDeleteLove all your finds especially the dish towel. I collect them.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to purge.
Our kids don't go back till September.
You are absolutely right! After I saw your post I stopped by H&M yesterday for those gorgeous pillow covers and you are right housewares are only sold online! Also, I'm loving your new finds, especially the beautiful antique wall tile...looks so pretty in your foyer vignette with the wire cloche:) Always love your pretty vignettes! Back to school seems a little early for you..we still have almost a month until school starts. Hugs, Poppy
ReplyDeleteI love how you displayed the pie tin. Your home is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou find such great stuff! Love it all. Yes, I have trouble knowing what to keep and what to get rid off too. I usually end up giving stuff to frieds, Salvation Army or Purple Heart. Since I'm not working anymore and love to shop hubby is saying I should have a garage sale. A garage sale seems like to much work! I want to declutter and get rid of stuff (to make room for new stuff :)
ReplyDeleteFun new finds! Really love the dish towel! I have such a hard time parting with things-I'm always taking things back and forth from our shop-ha! Good luck ;)
ReplyDeleteSusan
Such cute things! I remember school starting with my girls. Busy, busy, busy.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
our schools started last week...we are starting on the 19th...the joy of homeschooling. Have fun clearing out your garage, it's always a good thing to purge
ReplyDeleteI CANNOT believe school is starting already! Love your new pretties!! I seldom get rid of anything! As soon as I do I find a NEED for it! If I get rid of something - trust me! NO ONE would want it!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly,
ReplyDeleteSchool starts around here in 2 weeks and I can't believe that my granddaughter is going to be in 8th grade.
I've been going thru things and getting rid of a bunch of stuff. The only problem is I'm having a hard time figuring out what to keep and what to give away.
Love the towel that you got. As you know, I love anything monogrammed or embroidered. Love that tin tile too!
hugs,
Cindy

I have a hard time parting with things and just as soon as I do part with something, I think of the perfect place for it.
ReplyDeleteI live about 2 hours from Laurieanna's but have never been in. We are usually so exhausted from Canton to take the extra time. I will have to go in next time I am out that way.
Love your vignettes.
Love the ideas! Very cute.
