Hello everyone!
I recently purchased the new Prairie Style magazine and inside was a bloggers home featured. I follow her blog regularly and loved how her home was styled for the magazine. The blog is called Rustic Farmhouse. In her home, the stylist used the new Ball vintage style jars in blue. I fell in love with them. They are a bit brighter than the old blue ones you find in an antique store. But, that's what I liked about them. Also, they are MUCH cheaper than the old ones! So I decided to buy some online. They are difficult to find in a store.
I bought a set of six, even though I'm just showing you one jar in the photo.
Here was my inspiration photo from the magazine.
Pretty huh?
I loved the sweetness and country feeling these gave the room. So, I took some of my newly purchased jars and added some sweet white flowers to them. I set out placing them around my home.
Some are beside my sofa.
And some are on my secretary.
And some are on top of my plate rack.
So easy and so sweet!
Do you like to copy things you find in a magazine too?
Thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteYes, isn't that the reason for magazines?? To look beyond the obvious and see what lurked in corners, tables, mantels...
ReplyDeleteI'm glad stealing ideas isn't a federal offensive. HaHa.
Love what you did with your blue ball jars.
They look so pretty Kelly!

ReplyDeleteOld or new... they look so pretty with your flowers. And you know you can make great gifts with them...filling them with ingredients for recipe mixes, salad dressings...so many food things. Thousands of uses. The real things are very hard to find and when you do, you covet them!! :)
ReplyDeleteXo,
Jane
I have one of those blue jars sitting in front of me right now with a daisy cut out lid and a straw to drink my diet Snapple. I use my blue Ball jars every day for drinks, for flowers, to hold straws . . .
ReplyDeleteI just found some in green at Jo Ann's fabrics and bought my blue jars at Target.

ReplyDeleteThey ARE beautiful!! I used to have a ton of magazines! My favorites were Country Living and Victoria. I don't have any magazine subscritions anymore but I kept some of my old issues and still enjoy browsing through them from time to time.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! I love finding things in magazine that inspire me. Love the blue ball jars! I wish I could use them in my house, but they just don't go with my style. I just bought some clear ones - even those are a stretch. Love yours!
