Hello everyone!
In my master bedroom, I had different lamps on each bedside table. So, when I decided to move one down into my foyer, I didn't have to worry that I was breaking up a set. However, that left me without a lamp on one side of the bed. I had gotten use to having one on each side, so I decided to replace it. I went in a totally different direction than what I had there before, and I must say, I'm so glad that I did!
I found this wonderful old fashioned looking wall mount lamp at Lowes. It's by allen + roth. I like that it's masculine looking since it hangs beside my husband's side of the bed. It also coordinates well with my existing black lamp on the other side.
It allows me more room to place things on the bedside table as well.
Now, doesn't it look like my husband is ready to delve into those old novels stacked there? (Ha Ha)
So, don't be worried if you don't have matching lamps beside your bed. They only have to coordinate and by doing so you have a collected over time and interesting look!
Thanks for stopping by!
~ Kelly ~
It is a really cute lamp! Love the vintage look, but with modern wiring! :)
ReplyDeleteLove it and I love all those fabulous books too. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteI think lots of people do not like matching things. It's what works best for you. I like it. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI love the look of the wall mount lamp! I saw recently in my Ballard's catalog how they hung pendants from the ceiling above each bedside table too. It sure gives you more room to decorate. :) I like how you've styled the bedside table. I just love flowers and old books in any room.
ReplyDeleteI have issues about things matching! This would be good therapy for me Kelly! I haven't bought a new lamp in years. I just keep painting the old lamps. I love your industrial looking lamp! I want one or 2-HA! Lowes has some pretty light fixtures lately too. Love your pretty bedside vignette. Glad you're feeling better! Happy Thursday!
ReplyDeleteI like the lamp your chose and I like the idea of having on the wall and not on the night stand.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
The lamp is darling. I love the clock and stacks of old books.
ReplyDeleteI don't use matching lamps on our bedside tables either Kelly...I like the casual feel it gives using two different ones. I love the wall mounted lamp you bought and love the pretty vignette on the chest too!!
ReplyDeleteAlways what you do to add just a little of this and that to make everything come together beautifully. Love the chest and the book especially.
ReplyDeleteLowe's....I'm heading there this weekend. Love this lamp...I'm hoping to find one!
ReplyDeleteMy mason jar light that is my dining room is from allen + roth...and I got it at Lowes. I'm wanting to do a mini makeover in our master bedroom, so I think I'll check out Lowes for the lighting. Love the lamp the you got and love the old books on the nightstand too.

I really prefer the look of mismatched, but somehow I ended up with matching lamps on our night tables! At least our tables don't match! I really like the look of the lamp you chose. It looks great with the headboard.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great look, Kelly! Love the stacks of books, as well. It makes such a pretty vignette.

Functional and pretty….love the wall mount lamp on the side of the bed! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Kelly. I like the looks of that lamp a lot. Cool books!
ReplyDeleteLove this bedside lamp....it appears that the cord is inside the pole coming down from the lamp?? I like that instead of a regular cord....love your shabby night stand also....
ReplyDeleteI really like that! Well, time to get some reading done. lol
ReplyDeleteI love your lamp and that tile on your husband's nightstand and yes, I thought he was a heavy reader, lol, my husband doesn't read a thing if he doesn't have too. I found a really nice seashell lamp for my living room about a week ago at Lowes. My husband had to go to the bathroom and thought he was safe leaving me in lighting, lol.
ReplyDeleteLove this bedside lamp.Sounds absolutely wonderful, what a trip this would be. Your bedside lamp are amazing.

I can't believe you found that great lamp at Lowe's! Not only a new lamp, but more display space. That's a win-win purchase!
ReplyDeleteLove your lamp choice! And I agree with Vickie, I can't believe you found it at Lowes! And that white chippy dresser is darling! Love that too!

The new wall lamp looks great. I used to have a pair many years ago, from Ikea. We have a pair of lamps in our bedroom that I'm hoping to replace soon with wall mount lamps for more space on the night tables.
