Hello everyone!
Well, I should be saving all of my Christmas photos for a blog tour that I'm part of next week, but I just can't help myself to share it a little early.
I decorated in mostly whites this year instead of the the red and white of years past.
My Christmas tree is just a small table top tree that I placed on the table behind my sofa. I love it there. I don't know why I didn't place it there last year! It is covered in white and silver ornaments and white lights.
On the coffee table, I filled a weathered wood tray with greenery, candles, and pine cones. I even added my chunky beaded cross necklace to it.
The mantel is adorned with greenery (from the Country Living Fair) silver candlesticks and candles and grain sack style stockings. I left the cotton wreath hanging above.
I ordered my stockings from Farmhouse Wares.
I saw this "LOVE" wall decor on someones blog and just loved it, so I went to Hobby Lobby and bought these letters (at half price) for myself.
I'm really enjoying the white decor this season. It really feels like a winter wonderland when the sun is shining in.
Be sure to join me next week when I share more of my home dressed for the holidays as part of a Christmas Open House blog tour. There will be many other inspiring blogs joining in too!
Thanks for stopping by!

Very pretty, Kelly! I think that's the perfect spot for your tree. I've been wanting to do something with those letters from Hobby Lobby too. There are so many possibilities with them. Love how the greenery looks on your mantel and those stockings are just darling!

ReplyDeleteGosh your home just gets prettier and prettier, Kelly. It has such a sophisticated look now. I love the LOVE letters! I saw them somewhere else too and have been trying to figure out where to put them. I went to Hob Lob the other day for letters to spell JOY and was surprised at how picked over the letters are. Very popular. :)

You're right. The tree is perfect there. I bet from outside when lit it looks lovely. The greenery is just enough, and the amount of vignettes you've created is too.
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly! Your home looks absolutely beautiful for the holidays!! I noticed your tree is in a wash tub - so cute! And it adds a bit of drama behind your sofa. Love all the whites!

ReplyDeleteKelly, all of your holiday decor is so dreamy! The white is so soothing and so perfect for the season! I love all of your natural accents. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteIt surly does feel like a winter wonderland here.
ReplyDeleteAnd before you said you love your tree there I was going to mention how beautifully your tree lolls right where it is and could have been placed in a better spot. I also love that you can place packages on and around the tree on the table and along side the sofa on the floor.
I have to mention your fire place rock I had in one of my homes, and at that time Shabby chic was not the big craze yet it was still the Victorian and English trench in designs. Well having chintz fabrics of white, cranberry, pale blues, and pinks and greens it just didn't feel right, my husband said soon we will tear it out and replace it with what works, I could wait for soon enough so I bought cement stucco block wall paint and painted it white.... Do you know it stayed like that for 11 years until we moved. I wanted to mention it because you fire place brought back so many memories with the slabs and stacks stone work and the same colour.
I love all that you have created here simple and oh so staging of the details to the attention of your tree.
So wish my sofa could be moved where I could create a similar feeling.he room is just so small and not a place to move the sofa that works as yours.
A Joyeux Noel

Very pretty, Kelly. I like the tabletop tree in that spot. I would love a smaller tree in our family room next year and that looks like a good solution. Looking forward to seeing the whole tour.
