Bathroom Remodel Day Three

Hello everyone!

This weekend, we painted the walls in our master bath.  It was a tedious job because of the high ceilings and different areas jutting out into the room (such as the tub and shower).  I think bathrooms are the hardest rooms to paint!  Today, my husband is caulking some areas and will hang the towel rings, toilet paper holder and curtain rod over the tub.  I went ahead and bought a rug for the floor and planned out the rest of how I want the room to look.  I think this weekend may bring us warm enough temps to do some spray painting.  Sunday it's supposed to be 60 degrees!

Here is my husband up on the ladder trying to paint the niche area above the sink.

We plan on painting the register covers that cover that hole you see in the wall above and below.  We will paint them the same color as the wall.

Here is a peek at the after.

I love the grey in here (Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore).  It's exactly what I wanted and flows perfectly with our bedroom and the rest of the house now.

Here is a little window in the toilet room.

Don't be fooled by that ray of sunshine streaming in the window.  It's freezing cold here and the wind gusts are terrible!

I ordered new toothbrush holders and soap dishes on sale from this collection.

Hopefully, the cabinet hardware, that I've ordered, will arrive this week and we can also replace the sink faucets.  More pics to come!

Thanks for stopping by.

  2. I agree with you...bathrooms are the most difficult to paint! So much stuff to have to cut in around. I really don't like the color in our bathroom, but I am dreading painting it!

  14. Looking great kelly! Love the color!

Bathrooms are tough for sure. Maybe because they're small and have lots of nooks, but it will be worth it soon enough.

  23. Wow! It's already looking so pretty! I totally agree with you on painting bathrooms. It's so difficult. The only thing that was equally hard (for me) was painting our tiny laundry room because I was working around the washer and dryer. You don't even want to know what kinds of positions I had to contort my body into in order to get that job done. Lol!

  24. Looks great, Kelly (and, so true about master baths ... we had the same crazy heights and lines in our old house, but, thankfully, not in this one)! I'm a huge fan of Revere Pewter! Look forward to seeing the reveal!

  25. I can see why the bathroom was so challenging to paint, but it really is gorgeous, with the high ceilings and cutouts. 60 on Sunday? Lucky you! We're expecting more snow!
