Hello everyone!
You may recall that I moved my blue painted chest of drawers out of the foyer and into my sitting room. I just realized that I haven't share that with you yet. I made a few changes in here along with moving that piece, so here is how it looks today.
I really like the subtle blue color in this room. This room is open to the family room and foyer.
I simplified my open secretary a bit too. Just some simple white tureens lined up and some matching boxwood wreaths on the doors was all it needed.
A few plants bring in just enough color and texture to this piece.
Hope you are having a good Friday so far. It's another hot one here, but I guess that's expected here in the south!
Have a great weekend!
Thanks for stopping by.

Everything looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteI have our secretary desk out on loan to Steve's brother and his wife. We just don't have room here. It's probably a good thing because I would want to paint it and I know Steve would not want me to paint.
What a sweet room, Kelly. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteLooks great, Kelly! Your home always looks so organized and uncluttered. Like it has room to breathe. I'm striving for that. Hope you have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.....I love the white ironstone pieces in the secretary.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!!!

Oh, how I love those boxwood wreaths on the doors of the secretary! I made a small boxwood wreath for my fixer upper inspired wire frame thingy, and I really want to make some bigger ones to display around my home like you've done. I like the chest of drawers too. I've always thought about putting one in my foyer because it would give me so much more storage than the sofa table I have in there now. I think yours is the perfect color too. Stay cool in this heatwave. :)
ReplyDeleteIt really looks nice!
ReplyDeleteYour home is so pretty and fresh kelly. I love the way you are always changing it up.
ReplyDeleteLove your sitting room...so pretty! Your secretary looks so pretty too!! It is hot here too...hope you have a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteHi Kelly,
ReplyDeleteYou know I just love your style. Your sitting room looks gorgeous. Love the touches of blue to your whites and gray. Have a great week end.

I always love this room no matter how you switch things up. Great idea placing the tureens in the secretary.
ReplyDeleteHey Kelly, your dresser looks perfect between the windows. I love the taupe color of the drapes combined with the blue dresser, such a soft, serene combination. Have a great weekend.

It's perfect Kelly! Serene, feminine and oh so chic. I love the colors, and I love how you've styled the secretary.
ReplyDeleteTry to stay cool, but if you can't, come on up to Mass. It's GORGEOUS now!

I've said it before.... you've got the eye.
ReplyDeleteLooks cozy, Kelly....We have the heat here in the Mid Atlantic states as well...Looking forward to fall...
ReplyDeleteI have an antique rake on on the wall in my living room. My 80+ year old father-in-law saw it and said, "What the heck is that up for? Do you plan on farming?". Ha! Ha! I LOVE it, though. I like your rake, too. I also love the changes you've made.
ReplyDeleteBest,
