Hello everyone!
I took a risk and went with all white pillows on my sofas and chair in my family room. I wanted a less busy, more creamy cozy look. And even though we're in the Spring season, I didn't steer away from fur and knitted pillows. I love the texture they bring to the room without being overwhelming.
All of these pillows have covers that come off and therefore can be washed. That is "key" when decorating with white!
I also made sure that they weren't all the exact shade of white. I wanted some to be off-white so there is some depth to the over all look.
That keeps it from being too sterile.
I continued using my curly willow in a canvas tote for the added texture and nature element in the room too.
I prefer decor that is simple and choose not to use a lot of tchotchkes etc.
So, go ahead. Take a risk in your decor. Don't follow the path that everyone else seems to take. You'll be surprised at the outcome!
Hope that your week is going well. My son is off to Savannah bright and early tomorrow morning. It is his 8th grade class trip. It will be very strange not having any kids at home for a few days!
Thanks for stopping by!

White reminds me of a beach house, and I love that!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Kelly. Agreed... textures and different shades of white for depth. Also, living with guys, little ones coming in daily and a 75 lb chocolate lab, removable pillow covers and slip covers are a must!!
ReplyDeleteI totally think fur and knit pillows can be used year round. I love how you used different shades of white and cream too. It definitely makes it more interesting. Enjoy your alone time with no kiddos around! Both my boys have jobs now, so we have quite a few evenings when it's just the two of us and it's so strange! Lol!
ReplyDeleteVery nice Kelly! I am working on lightening things up around here as well and texture is a great way to add impact without going BOLD! Enjoy your few quiet days! Blessings, Cindy xo
ReplyDeleteKelly, I want to come and steal all of your pillows off the couch, and while I'm there I would also like to go through your stack of pillows in the closet!!!! LOL!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou do have a signature look!!! I love it although my 'signature' is so very very different!!
ReplyDeleteI love everything. You have given me a lot of thought as far as mixing whites with creams and using different textures. I love how your rug is such a nice contrast without being too bold.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the pop of green from the plant on the the pedestal against all the white. Your throw is great, too. The whole room says peaceful to me.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Kelly! I love all of your fresh whites! It's such a soft serene space you created. My daughter went away on her first trip without us and it was so weird. She had such a great time though. xo
ReplyDeleteMy favorite look is various shades of white and different textures. Very elegant and beachy, which is always a good thing.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Kelly. I am a color girl so this wouldn't work for me but that's what makes the world go round, huh? If we were all the same it would be boring:) Have a great week!!!!
