Um Um Good!

It's a beautiful weekend in GA!  Last night, because of the cooler weather we had, my husband decided to make homemade chili.  Yum!  Afterwards, my son asked for chocolate chip cookies, so out came this mix from the cabinet.

Have you ever tried these mixes?  They make several different types.  This mix and the Snickerdoodle mix are my favorite.  They taste just like they're completely homemade!  I'm not kidding.  I don't even make homemade chocolate chip cookies anymore because they don't turn out as good as these from the mix.  With the holidays coming up, you might try them.  They're very inexpensive too.  This box was only $1.78.  That's cheaper than a bag of chocolate chips!

It's super easy to make too.  You only need two ingredients of your own to add to the mix.

One stick of butter and one egg!

Mix it all together.

Place them on a cookie sheet and bake.

They'll come out of the oven smelling great!

Wait!  Don't eat them yet.  Let them cool slightly.

Now you can serve them up with a glass of cold milk!

Hungry yet? I've got a huge bag full all baked up and ready for your visit now.  Ha!  Go bake something sweet for your family this weekend.  Enjoy!

Well, look at you Kelly! Aren't you the multi-tasker?? Blogging AND cooking! LOL!! Those look wonderful! We didn't do chili last night; but, we were close. Red beans and rice! (It's that Louisiana part of me.) Krusteaz makes an awesome belgian waffle mix, as well. Save a cookie for me!

I am so glad you posted this! I stand there in the baking aisle and wonder if any of these modern miracles are any good and walk away feeling guilty for even wanting to try them! If I was any kind of Granny I would march right home and make some homemade ones, right? I hate baking cookies and I am going to march right into that store and buy some of this stuff, because I love EATING cookies! Thanks for tutorial too! :)

Really? They're that good?? They certainly look good in your photo. I've used Krusteaz mixes for cranberry bread, but I've never tried a cookie mix. Of course, I love to bake cookies, but I'm thinking this would be awfully easy for my boys when they want to make cookies for themselves!

Hi Kelly, I found you thru Peggy's Hidden Haven blog. I, too, live in GA. I have not tried these cookies yet, but they sound like a great deal and delicious! I also love your master bath. It looks very bright and luxurious. Hope you are getting a little rain this a.m. We are!
