This is a continuation of my shopping spree at Ballards Back Room. I showed you my newly created drapes that I made out of a shower curtain, but the other items I bought are being used as they were intended. Imagine that! Ha!
I found this pleated table skirt in a brown checked fabric and used it on the little side table in my sitting room. I know you've probably seen this table a bazillion times. But now it looks completely different. I like this much better.
I think it captures the colors of the room perfectly and it fits the table just right.
I was holding my breath that it would fit because it was non-returnable!
Next, I stumbled upon these unique chandelier shades. They are made of mercury glass. They're heavier than standard shades and fragile. I wasn't sure where I was going to put them. I thought I would use them in my dining room, but they didn't suit the style of my chandelier in there. Drats! They were too dressy for my kitchen and too large for the chandeliers in my family room and sitting room. So, that left my master bedroom. I really like them in there.
Here is a close-up during the day.
This is an antique chandelier that I got several years ago. Unfortunately, one of the bulb sockets doesn't work. It needs to be repaired. So, if you see a light out, you'll know why. It isn't because I forgot to replace the bulb. Ha!
Here it is lit up at night. You can really see how unique the shade looks.
Isn't it pretty? It would look even better if ALL five of my lights worked too!
Here is a full view. Yes......that is Max up on my pillows. I hated to move him because he just looked too comfortable.
Maybe I should just leave the lights off and then you won't notice that it isn't working. Ha!
I guess we're all on the homestretch to Thanksgiving and then we'll be pulling out our Christmas decorations. Are you ready?
I made a pumpkin topiary on my front porch, since I had to move some of the pumpkins off the steps for trick or treaters.
Hard to believe that these will have to be thrown out and replaced with evergreens and baubles soon!

I love your table cloth! I need 2 of those! Your topiary looks really nice! so hard to believe it's time to start christmas decorating!
Kelly, I love the checked tablecloth. You were lucky it fit. It would have been too small for the table I want one on. Love the shades especially with the lights turned on. You need to get that chandy rewired. Probably wouldn't be that much.
I want one of those checked table skirts...I checked regular Ballard catalog the other day and WHOA..too much. You are lucky to have that outlet there. Love the chande shades too very pretty.
Well, I'm trying hard to not have Ballard Outlet envy Kelly...trying being the operative word. LOL! I love your new table skirt and those shades are fabulous! Great finds! :-)

I am looking for a round table and cloth just like that one! I also love your new shades. I've never seen any like it. I'm putting out my greenery in my outdoor urn today. My pumpkin topiary rotted (didn't last long!) so I figured that meant I was free to go ahead with the urns Christmas look =)
Hi Kelly,
Wow, love the new checked table cloth...It looks so good with your new drapes in the background everything is tied together...
Love the new mercury shades so unique!
All the Best,
Christine
Oh me, oh my, I'm drooling over those mercury glass shades. LUV!! You have some great finds Kelly. The tablecloth work perfectly.
I love those chandy shades and that skirt is awesome, glad it fit so well since it wasn't returnable!

I am your newest follower.
Kelly, love the checked tablecloth! It does work really well with your decor!! And the chandy shades are FAB! Those were a great find! Everything looks just wonderful!
Everything is gorgeous, wish I had a Ballard's Backroom!!
Well that table skirt looks totally custom made, and they aren't cheap to have done either when you add in the amount of fabric you need and then the labor. It even has a nice welting on the bottom that helps the bottom make its curves. I have a table skirt that I made reversible with a taupe and cream check on one side and a taupe and cream damask on the other and moss fringe on the bottom. I like the tailored pleats of your skirt~all in all a real score! Your bedroom is pretty, are you going to blog about it soon??
I wish I was close to one of these outlet stores. I love the elegant touch it gave to that table. Who could move that sweet dog?

We have some things in common, Kelly ~ a love for Ballards and that check fabric! : ) I bought the chair slipcover in the brown check for my craft/sewing room. It makes for a great tablecloth, too. I got their burlap round tablecloths a couple of years ago for my living room side tables.
That checked tablecloth is divine! I would love to have one just like it. I live in Canton, but next week I have to go to Roswell for an appt...guess where I will be going after the appt? I never go to Roswell, but I am now looking forward to the trip:)
Love me some Ballard!!! Those little lampshades are very cool.

Kelly, I love that tablecloth!! And, I love the way the checks are echoed in the curtains and the same browns in the hawk (or owl) feather!! Nice photo, too! Great find!! blessings ~ tanna
Great finds, but I simply LOVE those shades for the chandelier. They look just exquisite in your bedroom. Beautiful!

Kelly I love the way that checked table skirt looks! I have one just like it in toffee. Gotta love Ballards! Martina
That is the MOST gorgeous chandelier!!!
And I loved your stacked pumpkins. Amber threw hers out today since we are starting her Christmas decorating early due to them leaving for Italy next week. I will go home Sunday and since Thanksgiving Dinner is at my sister's I will begin the task of taking FALL down and will start with Christmas decorations on Friday.
Tis NEARLY the season!!
You're right ... the new table cloth is the perfect fit for that space ... the colors work wonderfully there. And, LOVE the chandie! It's simply fabulous ... your bedroom is beautiful!

Hi Kelly, I've never seen mercury glass shades but those are to die for! They look so nice in your room.
LOVE your little round tablecloth! Also your vignette on the table goes with it so well. Antlers, books, feathers and urns are always A+ in my book.
