Cherry Blossoms

Hello everyone!

I have been enjoying reading some new magazines this past week.  As you know, by now, I am an avid magazine reader.  These are the two new ones that I've been enjoying at the moment.

I'm going to talk about the one on top, at the moment.  Country Home magazine has done it again!  Just ......look.....at.....that....cover!  Be still my heart.  If THAT doesn't make you run to open up that magazine to see what's inside, nothing will. So, of course, I did just that.  I was out shopping for my new bathroom faucet and there it was.  So along with the faucet, it came home with me.  This is the first home you see when you open the magazine.

This is Atlanta Bartlett's home.  I have always liked her style and have a few of her decorating books as well.  What caught my eye are those beautiful cherry blossom branches. I've actually been wanting to get some for awhile.  I just happened to find some and brought them home.  I knew instantly where to put them.

Mine are not as large as those in the magazine, but I'm still happy with them.

I put them in the wall basket in my foyer.  Now there's a touch of Spring when you come inside.

Here is the new look, overall.

Oh and do you see something new in this picture? It's my newest find from Antique Farmhouse.

I decided to put wrapping paper tied with twine in it for now.  Eventually, I might want to find some old maps to put in it.

It's been cold out this weekend, but it feels warm in my house (especially with my new cherry blossoms to keep me company).

Is it feeling like Spring in your home yet?

Country HOme was always my favorite. Is this just a seasonal one or are they back to business. Love the cherry blossoms.

I don't think I have heard of that magazine. I need to check that out. Love the cherry blossoms. I wish I had a tree to cut from. We used to, but it died. Love the new basket. As soon as I saw it I was thinking rolled maps in it.

I haven't seen a Country Home magazine up here for a very long time - perhaps two years. This is exciting! I loved that magazine. I hope that there will be some left in WA when I go back down in late March. The other magazine is one that I'd love to see but I think I'll have to go to Europe to get it!

The cherry blossoms look so pretty in that basket! We have three cherry blossom trees in our back yard but the bees love them and I don't like bees so I never cut the branches.

Haha ~ I was considering that basket myself, Kelly! I decided to wait because the area I want it for isn't quite ready for accessorizing yet. Love the cherry blossoms. Just the right amount and they look great in your wall basket. I love that magazine cover! I guess I will be picking up an issue of Country Home. : )

Kelly, Love the cherry blossoms in your foyer! They look great in the basket you chose. Yes, I am ready for spring! Just starting putting the pine cones away and began getting some of my spring accessories out. Your cherry blossoms make me want to go out and buy some!

Trying to talk my husband into painting our living room a light color (maybe white or cream) We have red couches that I have to keep for a little while. I am really liking the lighter airy looks now.

Your home is gorgeous.

My email messed up just now! Ignore the blank one from me.

I do need to figure out a way to add more of "me" in the home office. We share really but the desk is all mine. LOL!

Country Home stopped publishing a couple of years ago. then they had intermittent issues that were bits and pieces of old photo shoots. I'd love to think they are back in biz. they sold my 3 year subscription to other mags i cared nothing about. I'd buy again if they are really publishing new copy. you did a wonderful job of bringing in Spring. LOVE that basket!!
