Jeanne d' Arc

Hello everyone!

As you may already know I've become very fond of the Jeanne d' Arc style and their products.  I recently purchased a pillow cover (for a bed pillow) from French Larkspur.  It is one of the prettiest covers I've seen.  The image is of a french account book. It's very subtle and vintage looking.

It's made of a wonderful linen fabric and has a tie closure.

I was very proud to see this label on the back too (and I'm not really a "label" person)!

Here, you can really see the fabric better.

I put it in my chair in the sitting room.

I like the contrast of the white against the black.

I was smitten with the way it was packaged too!  It smelled like lavender when I took it out.

Do you get excited when someone takes the time to dress up your package for you?  I sure do!  She included another french book page and sepia toned post card with a hand written note on it.  All tied with ribbon and delicate tissue paper.  All of these cute little butterflies came floating out too.  I love details like that!  Thanks Tracey!

 Thanks for stopping by!

I love the pillow Kelly and the packaging.

Thanks so much for coming by and your well wishes. The first thing they did was check J's blood sugar. It was 105, so okay. We've prepared ourselves for pacemaker. If not now, later. J's heart disease is a family thing. His younger brother has a pacemaker, since his mid 50's. His dad died at 50, heart disease. J is the first male in the paternal family to live past 60. I hope they find something or set our minds at ease when he sees his cardio this week.
Thanks again for your concern.

It would be a tie for what thrilled me more - the cushion cover or the wrapping!

Very pretty pillow cover...I especially love the ties. I think packaging is very important. Nice packaging just makes you feel special. You know...I went to catholic school through the 8th grade. One of my principals was Sister Jeanne d'Arc. :o)

Joe and I were talking about pretty packaging and online shopping just a minute ago. He had no idea of course. It is pretty, even the label. I do like labels from the 30's, 40's and 50's on vintage clothes.
