Hello everyone!
I brought out my collection of shells to display in the foyer on my pine chest.
This time of year, when the weather starts warming up, I'm always looking for things that bring a summery feel into my home other than flowers and white slipcovers.
Shells always seem to be the perfect addition.
I filled my cement urn with miscellaneous shells, abalone, starfish, coral and a sea fan. I love the different shades of white and texture it brings to the room.
I also brought my dough bowl in here from the coffee table. I like the book bundles mixed with the shells. It has a vintage feel to it.
Thanks for stopping by!
~ Kelly ~

I love your vignette. Great job putting it together.
I LOVE IT Kelly!!
Love the thought of using a cement urn. Rough cement against the smooth shells - perfection!
You have a beautiful collection of shells, Kelly! They really do make it feel summery! I love the postcards in your dough bowl, too. I just found one on ebay and am always looking for ways to use it {besides dough, lol!}. Very pretty vignette!

Jane
The shells are such a great touch, Kelly! I love them in your urn and you've got such a nice variety, too.
I love that urn Kelly and the shells are a perfect filler for the warmer weather! Hope you're having a wonderful day, Tail
So pretty!! New to your blog and I love it. Do you mind sharing the paint color of the room in the background of your third picture in this post? Thanks!
When I look at your blog and several others, I think I must have missed the Decorating gene in my DNA.
That urn is so cute especially with the shells. Perfect fit.

Love that URN. Might would have to grow succulents in it. The shells are fabulous inside.

You are right adds a lot of texture and looks fantastic!
Hi Kelly,
Love how you filled up that beautiful urn...I need to find a sea fan, it is just gorgeous! The dresser is so perfect in your foyer!
All the Best,
Christine
I love your shell display. It is so fresh feeling. Also, when looking at your photo I couldn't help but notice the three white wall hangings in the background. Are these the entomology plates from Ballard Designs? Would you do a close up of these? I love them and would like to see a better picture.
Thanks,
Kyla
Kelly,
I love your sea fan. I remember when you put one on your mantel. I saw one framed the other day and thought of you :)

Wow, Kelly I really like how the shells looks, You always manage to make a magazine cover. It looks fresh and spring/summer ready. Thanks for sharing.
I love to collect shells and sand dollars from the beaches near here. That hall vignette is lovely! Summer is still quite a way off up here, so I'll enjoy it vicariously at your house.
So pretty, Kelly. The seashells and starfish add a nice delicate look to the more rustic scrubbed pine and dough bowl (both pieces I adore.) A very pretty vignette.
Your shells are lovely but I am so in love with that dough bowl!
Kelly,
I really like the pictures with the magnifying glass....perfect display :)
