Switching Things Up

Hello everyone!

Well, it turned out to be a  pretty weekend after all.  I was expecting it to rain, but the sun decided to make an appearance instead.  I'm not complaining!

I guess, since the sun has been shining and I've been on a "Spring Fever" kick in the house, I made some more changes.  This is all in the name of lightening and brightening my home.  Ha!

First of all, I moved my clock into the foyer in place of the leaning mirror.  I really like the grey color against the white wall and the soft curves of it  soften the square angles in the foyer.

I never even thought of using it in here, but am so glad I did.

Have you ever done that?  Just moving one piece into a different room makes your house feel so different.

Now, you're probably wondering where the mirror went.  It went upstairs in the master bedroom.

I gave it a new coat of white paint to soften it a bit too.

I decided to continue lightening and brightening this room in other ways too. I changed up the pillows on my bed (yet again).

I decided to stack them instead of propping them up.  I like the casual feel of it.

I even draped a matelesse coverlet over the chair.

I'm enjoying the change.  I wonder how long it will stay like this?  Hmmmm....

One last thing!  If you didn't get a chance to read my  post prior to this one, please scroll down and read it.  I would love it if you could reciprocate!

Thanks for stopping by!

~ Kelly ~

This is that time of year to look around our homes to lighten them up. I really like the changes you've made. I agree, moving one piece of furniture makes a huge difference.....for awhile at least. :-)

I am re-following your blog. Weird how this stuff is happening.

That is such a pretty clock and it looks great there. I especially love the view past the clock to the slipcovered chairs. Everything looks so soft and pretty. Your bedroom is lovely too.

Sorry about your follower issue. I'm signing on as a new follower. I pinned the photo of your dining area from the last Wow Us Wednesday, so I know I'll be inspired by visiting often.

I hope this is not a Blogger issue and you are the first to be hit! But I have a bad feeling it is.

I love your clock, Kelly! I love changes like this ~ just moving around what we've already got and seeing it in a light. It really is the simple things sometimes.

You are still showing up in my dashboard, as you did before, so I'm guessing you didn't lose me. I wondered if it went the other way too, because just before I saw your post, I lost a follower. It could have been a coincidence but I just thought it was funny to then see your post. That's freaky that happened.

I can tell you how long the cover would stay on my bedroom chair... till it needed to be washed. Stuff goes to my laundry room and never comes out.

Kelly, Your changes look great. I wish I could move things more, but my house is so small that about all I can move are the accessories. :) Love seeing what your doing for Spring. Good idea using a matelasse coverlet to give the chair a lighter look.
