The Little Red Barn Sale

Hello everyone!

This weekend, I had the good fortune to go to a friends house where she was holding an arts and crafts sale at her home.  She started doing this last year and it has grown substantially ever since.  She lives in an old historic home in Norcross, GA.  It's the perfect place to have this sale!  Her property is just beautiful and she is in a good area to attract alot of customers.  I brought my camera this time so I could take you all along with me too.

Upon entering her property, you're greeted by this colorful homemade sign hanging from a giant old oak tree in her front yard.

There were a lot of vendors participating in the sale.  Let's go look around
.
She had a lot of furniture to sell.

There were also these darling iron sculptures made from scrap iron and hardware.

There was a little bit of everything at this sale.

Art

Succulents
Pottery
Painted Furniture and Pillows

Take a look at this unusual art too.

Like I said, there is a little something here for everyone.

Even the ever popular chalk paint was sold here!

She named her sale after the little red barn that sits on the back of her property.

Are you wondering if I bought anything?  Well, yes I did!  I bought this slip covered chair that once belonged to my friend having the sale!  Ha!

My son is modeling it for you.

All in all it was a very good day!  Afterwards we took our son to the Lego store.  He was doing some early birthday shopping.  He will be 11 on Thursday! Then we came back home and helped our oldest son get ready for his senior prom.

Doesn't he look handsome?  They both looked great! I was very proud.

I wish I had gotten a better picture.  We had to take pictures in a hurry because they had dinner reservations waiting for them.

Hope you all had a good weekend too.

My bottle drying rack arrived this weekend too.  So I'll show you that along with where I put my new chair in my next post.

Thanks for stopping by!

Wish I had known about this sale. I almost went to an estate sale in old Norcross, but did not get up early enough. Had to be close by. I liked the other chair with the cane on the sides. I am looking for another chair for the sun room. Cody looks just like Jimmy in that picture.

What a lovely setting and day for the sale you attended. I would love that old kitchen cupboard, if I only had room in my tiny kitchen!

You have 2 handsome sons and it looks like it was a beautiful night for prom. I saw couples going to prom in town last night, but Brrrr...it was cold here!

Hi Kelly: What a great looking sale. I love those kinds. Beautiful place your friend has and that little red shed in the trees, Brilliant!! Your boys are very cute and how fun to get them ready for the prom. Did you buy your bottle rack from LaurieAnna? Reason I asked was I saw one online from her shop. I ordered a dish rack from her for my new 'old' kitchen. Can't wait for it to get here?..Happy Sunday..Judy

Kelly,

That sale looked llike a lot of fun. I like the slip covered chair you got. I also really liked the hoosier cabinet in the first picture. I have a similar chair to the white chair that has the light blue cusions. I really need to try that Annie Sloan paint. I think I might try it on a small piece of furniture and if I like it maybe do a paint treatment on my fireplace mantel.

Your boys are very handsome. Your oldest and his prom date look great. I hope their prom night was fun and loaded with lots of good memories.
