I Spent my Gift Certificate!

Hello everyone!

Well, it didn't take long for me to go shopping to spend my gift certificate I won!  It was so much fun looking around deciding what I wanted to buy (for free).  ha!

It was easy to find some cute things for my home.  I first saw this horse statue that has a wonderful old wood look to it.  It's not really made of wood, but looks like it.

I placed it on my sofa table. My husband really likes it!  He noticed it right away.

The other item that came home with me was the large crown you see on my coffee table.

I have one similar to this already, but much smaller.  This one is big!

I also spied this cute little boxwood wreath. I'm sure you've seen these around.  I'd like to go back and get one more.  I got the last one they had.

I hung it on my secretary door (in place of the twig wreath that was there).  I like this better.  I wonder if it looks a little "Christmasy" though.  Oh well, I'm keeping it here anyway. Like I said, I just need one more to balance out the other side of the secretary.  They have other store locations, so I'm going to look for another one.

We are finally getting some much cooler Fall-like weather today!  It has been so nice.  My husband and I have plans to work in the yard this weekend.  Yay!

Thanks for stopping by!

I love the horse. I have been eyeing it myself! I don't think the wreath looks too Christmasey. It looks really pretty!

Oh, that horse is amazing! The crown is too but the horse is so unique. Love it! I know you had a ball shopping for "free".

How fun to spend "free" money and what great finds. One question I have...what have you done with all the stuff that you must of had in your house before all these new items or was your house bare? I ask because I see all these beautiful things and the wonderful decorating you have done and out of curiosity wondered what you had in place of these things. I can't imagine it looking any nicer than it does.

Love that wreath, Kelly! I've been looking for something similar myself. Where did you win a gift certificate to? I find when I have money in my pocket or a gift certificate I'm more picky about what I will spend it on. Which is probably a good thing for our bank account!

Oh that was so exciting for you. I don't know how you chose the items you did. But they are great. Love that large crown. Boxwood wreathes never go out of season. Let it dry and you will have it year after year.
Once dry you can keep it natural or spray paint it. Listen to me... going on and on. I'm so excited for you. Linda

I love everything, Kelly! I think we have the same taste. The boxwood wreath is to die for. I saw them in Ballard's catalog but they got a poor rating so I never bought one. Where was the gift certificate from?

Jane
