Hello everyone!
By now, you know how much I like to change things up around my house. I often change things according to the season too. With Spring around the corner, I decided to lighten up the mantel just a tad with a smaller and lighter picture. I had a cow canvas hanging above it, but was ready for something lighter for now. Don't worry, the cow canvas is safe and sound until I decide to use it again. LOL!
The good thing is that I have my grey painted cabinet doors propped up on the mantel which allows me to use smaller scale items without them looking too small. It creates a frame for other objects.
So I placed my small botanical print that was hanging in the powder room in place of the cow canvas. It allows more of the grey cabinet doors to show which really lightens up the space for Spring and Summer.
It would look completely lost without the cabinet doors behind it. I love a layered look above the mantel anyway.
So, with moving that picture out of the powder room, I was left with an empty spot on the wall to fill. I found this darling little deer picture to hang there.
I love the distressed frame and the subtle colors in the picture.
I thought about using this one over the mantel, but the actual picture size is smaller even though the frame is larger. Does that make sense? It didn't have the impact that I was looking for. So, I think it's perfect in here instead.
No, this is not the picture I've been waiting on either! I believe it is on a slow boat from China right now. LOL!
I hope you enjoyed your visit here.
Thanks for stopping by!
~ Kelly ~

The mantel looks great Kelly. I love the layered look and the cabinet doors are perfect. Wish I could find something like that to work with too. That's so much easier than always coming up with a huge piece of artwork.
The basket on the potty is perfect with the deer picture.
Is your slow boat from China artwork ordered from Decor Steals? One thing I ordered from them took forever!
Have always admired your grey doors on the mantel. The picture looks wonderful leaning against it. I am a layering person as well.
Darling little deer picture .
Lets make this a great week!
Hugs, Gee

I love those doors on you mantle and they do really pop with the smaller picture! I can't wait to see the picture that you are waiting on:)
Botanical prints are so pretty no matter where they end up. Yours shows off nicely in front of the gray doors.

I love the deer print. Way better than eating my roses too:}
Your room is so pretty, Kelly. You are right that the doors help to add some weight and interest to arrangements. I especially love the blue bottles on the armoire. I'm kicking myself for selling my large blue bottle.
I like the layered look of your mantel. I'm going to have to keep that in mind for the future! Your little deer lithograph is adorable over your biffy, too.

Kelly, I have had a similar deer print I got off Etsy for over a year now, but I haven't done anything with it because I haven't figured out what kind of frame to use. I LOVE the frame on yours!! Now I know what to keep my eye out for. :)
I love it. It may be small, but it is darling!
