Happy Mother's Day Weekend!

Hello everyone!

Well, this weekend is THE big weekend for us mom's.  Since I am a stay at home mom and still have a young one in the house, it's especially special to me.  I have two sons, and one is already grown.  He will be 20 years old at the end of this year.  How can that BE??????  But, all is not lost yet...........I also still have a (just turned) 12 year old at home.  He is very dependent on me because he has a mild form of Autism.  He is my "homebody" child and very, very loving.  He brought home this homemade card for me from school yesterday.

His teacher helped put it together, but he came up with the sweet message.

Isn't that just the sweetest???

I definitely feel like gifts from the heart are the best.

I hope that all of you have a wonderful Mother's Day this weekend and get a big hug from all of your kids on this special day.  We mom's work hard for it 365 days a year, with no vacation days (even if we're sick).

But I wouldn't trade these days for anything.

Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Handmade cards and gifts are the ones that I have saved over the years too. It especially makes me smile to see the little handprints, photos etc, used in the making of the school gifts. Our special needs class staff always make sure the teens have a handmade gift and card to send home for mom and dad too.

  7. I love your card!!! That means the world to you - you can tell!! Amber and the quads were featured in a short story last night on our local news station. Mothers DO work hard! All of mine are grown and gone but those were some of the best times in my life. However, I NEVER take being able to take a nap or sleep in or stay up later for granted!
