Scenes from Around the House

Hello everyone!

The sun shined for just a little bit this weekend so I could grab my camera and show you some of the new vignettes around my house.

I'm loving the mix of white flowers, wire/metal accessories and texture in my spaces.


Let's get a closer look.
 
First off is this new cloche with a rope handle that I found at Hobby Lobby.  I have been eyeing these types of cloches for a while now, so I'm thrilled to finally have one of my own now.


  
It came with the wooden base too!  I added one of my galvanized trays (that came in a set of three from Decor Steals)  to the coffee table as well.  

I changed up my mantel, slightly, with a few candles, baby's breath, and a zinc colored crown.  



A small wire basket was added to the table beside my sofa.  It now holds a candle inside it.



In the foyer, a white tureen holds a bit of greenery and a mesh wire cloche balances the lamp on the other side.



I have a set of these canvas bags that came from Antique Farmhouse a while back.  One of them is being used to hold a bouquet of white flowers.


In the dining room, I replaced the grey bench with this vintage white painted chair.  More white flowers fill the corner.


 
So, these are some "scenes from around my house" at the moment.   

Just keeping it light and airy with some vintage thrown in!

    It is all every bit beautiful! Light and airy! I am still in the dark ages - but I am slowly lightening everything up. Well, maybe not everything! I still love rich dark hues in our living room. I can't wait for Amber to post about her new home. YOU would love it! Except it is light and airy without being white. More light earth tones on the soaring walls. They did have one 'brown' room (which I loved the color!) painted an off white - which I love just as much! HUGE windows with views of what looks like forests in the back. I have lots of YOUR white touches around my house now and just keep getting more and more.
    Soon I'll be ready to start the hall - a dark dungeon which will be transformed!! I'll use shades of gray. Remember the piece you did? It still inspires me!

    Had one of those cloches in my hand a few weeks ago at Hobby Lobby and I walked away from it. Rethinking that now...
    Luv the chippy chair and fabric basket filled with white flowers.

    Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. It helps me with ideas how to display things. I noticed you use your cloches without anything under them. I love cloches, but can never figure out what to put under them. This is a new idea for me.

    Kelly, Love that cloche and the vignette with the galvanized tray. Of course, all your vignettes are pretty.
    It was sunny over here this morning, but now it looks like it wants to pour down rain. Do you think there's a stop-the-rain dance? :)
