Hello everyone!
Did you have a good weekend? I managed to take some things to a consignment shop after cleaning my basement. Gosh, it felt good to get rid of some things I was no longer using! That will really help me when I'm ready to decorate for the holidays. I can finally get to all my boxes now. LOL!
I wanted to share with you a new floor lamp in my family room.
Isn't it pretty???? I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. It's from Better Homes & Gardens. Yes, that means it came from Walmart! I love the rustic look of it with the natural color of the shade. I thought it worked well in my room with the grey and white and the stone in my fireplace.
Of course, with a new lamp, comes other changes to the room. You know all about that don't you?
I changed up my mantle to make it a little simpler. I really missed my horse statue there, so I brought it back.
I flanked it with some potted faux paper whites.
I also switched around my pillows by adding some charcoal grey pillows to the chairs and sofa.
Now, where did the other stuff go?
The checked pillow is now in my sitting room.
And the wheat is now in my foyer.
My birdhouse is now in my sitting room too. So, I didn't really remove any of my newest accessories. They just landed in a different spot..........at least till the Christmas decorations come out!

Your rooms are always so pretty, Kelly. That is a lovely new lamp too. I wonder if our Walmart carries it. I will have to check. I just ordered some slipcovers for some older chairs that I would like to bring into our family room for extra seating. I chose slate (grey) because they didn't have white, just bone. Now that I see yours again, I may be returning them and sewing some.

it all looks so pretty kelly...i love that lamp but i'm a little obsessed with lamps anyway! i might have to check that one out at WM tomorrow, it would look good next to my husband's leather recliner.

Love the new floor lamp Kelly! The wood tone of the base looks so pretty with all your white slips and the shade is perfect...did the shade come with the lamp?

ReplyDeleteI LOVE all the Better Homes stuff at Walmart! My dishes are BHG from Walmart. The last time I was there, they had a (free) magazine with all their BHG stuff in it. I brought it home and drooled over all the pretty things. :) Your lamp is gorgeous. I love the color with all your other decor.

Love BH&G at Walmart, a new Walmart opened up really close to us so I have been there a lot lately, just running in to get milk and bread, that's how close they are. I've bought a pillow and online a quilt and shams BH&G has a great affordable line I think.

ReplyDeleteYour new floor lamp is amazing in so many ways. I love that there is a strong come back with floor lamps and you are 'going to get the wheels spinning with a look out for one that fits each and everyone's home that needs such lighting.
I also love the layout of your home, correct me if I am wrong but, it looks like you have turned your dinning area room into an extended living pace where you can sit and read or enjoy its space.
I just love multiple sitting areas all in one :)

Doesn't it feel good to get rid of things you are no longer using. Especially if you can get some money out of them. Love your new lamp and all of the changes. Before we know it we will be pulling out those Christmas decorations. xo Laura
