Enhancing a Bar Stool

Hello everyone!

Last weekend, my sister and I went to an antique show that was in my area.  We had such a good time looking around and being able to get out of the house for some much needed fresh air.  The weather has greatly improved since our last snow storm!

I found this cute little painted stool.

I added the rubber feet since it didn't have anything on it to protect the floors.

But, I also added one more thing.  I had this ruffled stool cover that Ann made me a while back.  So, I took it off the foot stool that it was on, and draped it over this stool instead.

I liked the softness it gave to the stool.  I may actually try to get one custom made for it, though, since this one is a little bit big.

But, in the meantime, I like this just fine.  It matches the chair covers I have in the breakfast area too.

Now, you see where it ended up.  It's in the kitchen.  I must have a thing for stools, because I noticed that I have quite a few!

Hope you are enjoying this weekend.  It will be a busy one for me.  I'm going on a home tour and then we have a birthday celebration to attend.

Thanks for stopping by.

~ Kelly ~

LOL- What is it with stools? I have a few here and there, too. I think when I see them they are like unadopted orphans. Love yours and the ruffled top looks cute on it. Wish I lived closer I would teach you to sew one yourself. xo Diana

I love your sweet little stool.

I used to have 5 or 6 stools, but my kids are great about removing things when I am not looking. I am down to 2 stools. I guess I need to go to the Wednesday Flea Market in town (that I have never visited) and find one.

I love your little stool with its ruffled slipcover, Kelly! I'm like you, only I keep finding children's chairs. I brought home another one the other day because it was too darn cute to leave at the antique store.

Your kitchen looks lovely.

I'm attracted to stools, as well, but have no room for them, so I just admire from afar. I love yours, and it makes a nice addition to your kitchen.
