27 Years Ago

Hello everyone!

Today marks a special day on the calendar.  It is my 27th wedding anniversary.  

I remember it being a beautiful sunny day to get married and Spring was definitely already here.  

My wedding flowers were pink and white roses with baby's breath.


I was so in love with the color pink then.  My bridesmaids wore rose colored dresses and my cake even had light pink icing.  Roses were my favorite flower.  

And if this dress doesn't tell you that I got married in the 80's, then nothing will!


I prefer the style of wedding dresses today with less stuff going on.  Oh well, that was the "in" thing at the time I got married.  

Spring break will begin for kids in our area this weekend.  Hopefully, the weather will cooperate during most of it.

    I still think it's a beautiful wedding dress. The only wedding dresses I don't like are the ones that go out of style in a year. You know.... like the vows.

    Happy Anniversary! We're about to celebrate our 24th in a few days! I had the puffy sleeves too and my bridesmaids wore pink dresses that we designed and we had lots of pink flowers too! And of course the bridesmaids had their shoes dyed pink to match their dresses. Lol! That was definitely the "in" thing back then. :) Enjoy your Spring break!

    Kelly, Happy Anniversary. What a lovey bride, and I adore that style. We got married 1961 and I wore Chantilly Lace.
    Every Year is a Milestone..so a BIG congratulations. We are looking at 53 years come June 24th.

    Congrats Kelly and wishes for many more happy years together! I had an 80's dress, too! They definitely had alot going on....I even had a hoop skirt and bustle! Our dresses were beautiful at the time....wonder if the simplicity of today's style will ever look as dated?

    Hope you had a nice anniversary Kelly. I got married in 1987. Had the dress, the whole nine yards and ended up getting married at the court house just to avoid the whole big wedding ordeal.
