Charming Front Porches

Hello everyone!

This past weekend was so pretty.  It was sunny and warm, but today it has turned cold again.  So, it's still too early for me to do much with my front porch.  I'm waiting on the weather to be more consistent.  Until then, I thought I would look at some other pretty front porches to give me some ideas on sprucing up my own.

Love the lanterns flanking the front door on this one.

Love the french doors that open up onto this porch along with the ceiling fans.

Love the cedar shake, stone and bead board ceiling.

Love the light fixture and the large round columns.

I thought this sign was funny.

These houses just scream "southern" to me.  Love the two story porches with ceiling fans and the flags hanging out front.

So, did you see any that you liked?  Hopefully, April will allow me to clean mine up and plant some flowers.
Thanks for stopping by!

~ Kelly ~

We both are having the same thoughts! I am thinking of sprucing up my porch too. I have the beadboard ceiling but thinking I'm going to paint it blue. If you want to see my post you can go here.

Oh, I want a porch. Love the first one and the planter boxes by the steps. I have two similar ones I've been scrubbing hoping to get them clean enough to re-paint. Let's hope this cold snap tomorrow night is the last one. Thanks for the inspiration pics.

I love all the southern porches and there aren't any like that around us. My dad's house is 104 years old and he has a 2 story porch on the front and back. Sigh....

I just cleaned mine and and the patio. Time to enjoy these spaces before it gets too hot. Hugs, Marty

Kelly- Do you know where that first picture came from? I believe it is my old house in the historical district. It is identical to it right down to the lighting. That was my favorite house I ever lived in!

Love them all-there is nothing like a porch! xo Diana

I love the first porch. And all the signs are so cute.

I had a porch in our Parsonage before we retired. I loved decorating it. It also had two old Church pews on each side I loved.

I'd love a big ol' southern porch to relax on and a two story one would be extra special! Rocking chairs would be a must have too. :) Oh, and a blue painted ceiling. :) Love those signs too...thin mints are serious business. :)

The signs are so cute. I wish that I had a porch. They are not really big here in South Florida. Probably because of the millions of mosquitoes

I just wish I had a big southern porch.

My favorites were the houses in the last photo.

I would love a big wrap around porch, but it doesn't really go with a Tudor style cottage.

How to choose? They are all fabulous, but I especially love the first one. I wish I had a big "southern" style porch!

I'd have to go with the first one. I can't wait to clean up our yard and get the flowers in.

They're all so pretty. My porch needs attention! I have rocking chairs that need painting. We have a screened in back porch. Love it! Especially when the mosquitoes get bad. So ready for porch weather!

Love them all Kelly. I think my favorite are the double story porches. So gorgeous. I bet your porch will be beautiful when you can get out there to plant. Have a great rest of the week.

Wow Kelly! some wonderfulorch inspiration! I loved the last sign. The last photo of the very southern double french porches are in the style that I just love! Wish I had a large covered front porch. I do, however have a covered deck in the back with skylights and love watching the deer and reading a good book. I bet you'll make your front porch look splendid.
