Hello everyone!
Since I painted the chest in my foyer, I have been slowing adding soft shades of blue in other areas of my home to coordinate with it.
I came across these pillow shams from the Simply Shabby Chic line and decided to give them a try on my bench in the foyer.
They were the perfect subtle shade of blue with tiny floral bouquets sprinkled about.
They are in the Wallpaper Ikat pattern. I like how casual and soft they look casually strewn abut the bench.
They help offset the blue chest on the opposite side of the foyer as well.
Blue and grey make a good pair. Don't you think?
And speaking of blue. I finally caught a picture of the little blue bird that flies in and out of our birdhouse!
This particular birdhouse has only been home to blue birds. They come back every year.
Thanks for stopping by!
~ Kelly ~
What a sweet little bird.
ReplyDeleteI love your new pillows. I too use pillows to change the decor in my rooms. My husband complains about all the pillows on the bed, on the sofa, on the chairs, on the window seat . . .
I really like the tiny floral bouquets on the pillow shams. They look great on your bench too. I do like the combo of blue and grey. What a pretty blue bird visitor you have! I need to try and snap a pic of the cardinals we have in our backyard. I love watching them flit around in the bird bath. :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Blue, gray, and white are very pretty! I love the French/Swedish feel it has.
ReplyDeleteLuv your pretty new pillows Kelly.
ReplyDeleteAaaaaahhh , the birds of summer. We have Mocking Birds and Brown Thrashers nesting in the trees. One in front , one in back. The Blue Birds, Cardinals, Humming Birds, Jenny Wrens and Doves like to visit the feeders and birdbath.Such a beautify to see and a treat to hear then singing all day long.
Summertime music!
I love bluebirds. They are very evasive so you are lucky to have one. Your pillows are a lovely touch. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteThe pillows look great on our bench. I love bluebirds too. Our blue bird house was taken over by chickadees.
ReplyDeleteYour pillows look really inviting and soft.
ReplyDeleteWe put a bluebird house up this summer and so far we have no inhabitants. Fingers crossed though.
I think blue, gray, and white are very pretty together!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of the blue bird that has made a home in your birdhouse. I have a birdhouse outback on a pole and I thought for sure that a chickadee I kept seeing out there would make it their home, but it didn't.
