Hello everyone!
I hope you know by now not to get too comfortable with the way things look in each post that I do. Because, I have, yet again, moved things around from the way they were in my last home post.
I must explain why I made this change though. I LOVED using my wicker trunks for a coffee table! I love the style, the texture and the vintage look. However.......................practicality was more important. And using the wicker trunks were not practical for setting a glass on or propping your feet up (as my family likes to do). So, I decided to bring back my wooden coffee table. Now, that left me with a problem of what to do with my trunks! So, I decided to stack them in the foyer, in place of the chest of drawers that was in there. I have always loved the look of stacked baskets and trunks.
These trunks are large enough to use in a big space, so using them in foyer was a no-brainer!
I ended up placing an old crate filled with greenery on top to give it some more height and interest.
So, now you must be wondering where the chest of drawers went. Oh..............you'll see! This started a big domino effect (which I'm finding is done a lot in blog land). I will share where it ended up, along with another paint color change done to my coffee table, soon.
Stay tuned!
Thanks for stopping by.
~ Kelly ~

I'm liking that look! Can't wait to see what else you have in store for us.
I was just telling another blogger I seem to always have a domino effect going on at my house too! I think it's fun to switch things up. Kind of like playing house. :) I agree with you on the practicality issue. I've had to make some changes too because it just wasn't working out in real life. I'll never forget the time I tried to hide the toaster in a cabinet. My kids let me know right away it was way too much trouble to lug it out every single day to use it. Lol! I love the size of those trunks and they look great in your foyer!
That looks great there! Love the stacked/collected look. You are so good about moving things around. Things tend to live in one place at my house. :)
Super cute, Kelly...they really have an impact, especially with the old crate. That domino effect...very contagious! Jane
I love them in your foyer and they are so great for storage. xo Laura
Looks great! Can't wait to see where the chest ended up :o)

They look great there!
I think any collection stacked is really pretty, and yours sure is. Have to think of the family's needs, and of course you have males to think of!

That's a cute look! Love the mix especially with the crate! I am glad to know someone else out there moves things around as much as I do too! I just rearranged the living room a tad once again!
Hahahaha....we are a funny lot, aren't we? that's what keeps life interesting, I believe. always changing things up.
Your arrangement in the foyer looks wonderful, Kelly!
As long as we are having fun...that's what matters...right?!

Hi Kelly,
I have always loved your wooden coffee table so I am glad to hear you brought that sweet piece back. I love love love the wicker trunks stacked in the foyer. That really looks awesome. I am on the hunt for a coffee table but like you we need to set drinks and our feet on it! Great job.
Kris
The stack of trunks looks great!

They look great there! Did you try along the other wall kitty-corner from the stairwell also? Have them along the wall? Just wondering - not sure how long that wall is or whether it is even doable.
Can't wait to watch the rest of your "domino play!"
I understand totally. My husband thinks I am absolutely nuts. LOL.
Kelly, I like the way those trunks look in the foyer. Good place to store things too. xoxo,Susie
So funny! I do the same thing-shuffle things here and then shuffle them there and then back again. Your trunk looks gorgeous both places!!
Sally
That is awesome. I think it's great to change things up.
You are a Mover and a Shaker, and I love what you do. Baskets and trunks and crates...wonderful!
LOL- Nothing like a domino effect! I LOVE those stacked trunks! They are perfect in that spot. Now- hurry up and show us where everything else landed, will ya? xo Diana
Love the trunks in your entryway, can't wait to see where you put the chest!
Love the trunks by your stairs...so pretty!!

Form follows function, and if the trunks didn't function well they had to go, but they look fabulous in their new home!
Kelly,
I love the stacked trunks! I would store my pillows in them and coverlets, quilts and throws when I change them out for the various seasons. I have tried using a trunk for my coffee table and unless you put glass on top of them drinks and such rock around. :)
Blessings
They look beautiful by the stairs! I also love the crate. So pretty. Can't wait to see what else you have been changing. :) You always have the best ideas. Hugs, Maria
Sometimes practicality does win out over beauty - darn it! However, I love how you stacked them in your foyer. Wicker trunks and baskets add so much texture, I just love them!
Sure is fun to change things up...keeps life interesting! I love the baskets stacked!
Love the stacked baskets ... and I can truly relate to the situation of people wanting to put their feet up on a table that sits in front of the sofa...oh the "function vs. beauty" thing....
Kelly I would love to have your arsenal of stuff, LOL!! Those trunks are just so pretty, love them
Cindy
I was going to ask where the chest moved to, but I see I'll have to be patient for the answer.
Kelly, I love wicker trunks and yours look wonderful!

Sherry
Your trunks look great. You have more energy, Kelly. What is your secret?
Form does follow function at our house too.
Understand, you move one thing you have to move three:) I love trunks and the crate tops it off!
