Mixing Patterns

Hello everyone!

Well, it's that time again.  Time to get the weekend started!  It will be a chilly one here.

I've been enjoying bringing in a little bit of color mixed in with all of my white.  Part of the fun has been to mix patterns.  I've been moving things around and toying with different set-ups to decide which combo I like best.

Here are a few patterns that I've been mixing together.

All of this color is toned down with lots of soft white.

And the bold patterns are toned down by some old fashioned pieces thrown in the mix.

It's funny how it all works together somehow.

Hope you all have a nice weekend.  We have a lot going on with my son going to a paint ball birthday party tomorrow and my husband and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary.

Thanks for stopping by!

Kelly, I love your colorful pillows on the white sofa. Those boxes are just wonderful too. I hope your weekend is great. We are to have a few more days of iffy weather. The sun has tried to be out all day but snow flurries came and went too. It's chilly. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

I wish I could be so bold with color...yours looks very nice. I get so hung up on what color looks best that I get paralyzed and can't even choose a color! One of my goals is to choose and implement some bold colors in our family room this spring. Wish me luck! Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary Kelly! Hope you're doing something fun and romantic :).

There's no denying you have the knack for decorating. I love the reds and blues that you've chosen, and the patterns work so nicely together.

Enjoy the paintball party!

I'm adding a "colorist" to my list of home job wants. 90% of the time when I attempt to add color it looks all wrong. Wanna apply?
