New Cottage Finds

Hello everyone!

As promised in my last post, I wanted to share with you where I used my new vintage bottle drying rack and slip covered chair.

I'm so in love with both of these.  It really made my Saturday to receive both of these in one day!

First up........my new chair.  Technically, it is not new at all.  It is an older chair that has a custom white cotton slipcover on it.  I am so happy to use it in my family room for extra seating.  We needed more seating for TV viewing, in particular.

I paired it up with the other chair already there.

I couldn't be any happier.  It's very comfortable too!

See what I mean?  Now you know why I just HAD to have it!

Next up.......the vintage style bottle drying rack.  I found this at LaurieAnna's.  I knew it was perfect the minute I took it out of the box!

I placed it on my painted gray cabinet near the kitchen table.

I hung some monogrammed coffee mugs on it.

I purposely didn't fill it full because I didn't want it to take away from the rack itself.  That is part of the appeal to me.

So.......what do you think of my cottage style finds?

This weekend we'll be celebrating my youngest son's birthday.  So, it will be his turn to "rack it in".  Ha!  Although, he didn't fare too badly, last weekend, at the Lego store!
Also, our garden is progressing nicely.  We're almost ready to start planting vegetables.  I'll be sharing pictures soon.

Thanks for stopping by!

Love the extra chair and how it makes a comfy seating area. Great bottle rack. I want one, but not sure if I have a place to put one. We added another garden bed on Sunday. Hubby is really getting into this.

I really like your new chair next to the one you already have. I have made a slipcover for the chair in our living room (years ago), but I am thinking about making one out of drop cloth to match the pillow covers and the curtains I made.
I could not do totally white...little kids are messy!

Your chair is perfect. I was looking forward to where you would put it. I love the rack, and you're right, it is so great on its own, you really don't want to cover it up.

As I said the chair is so you dear Kelly. It is perfect with your other pieces. Love the drying rack and glad you have space for it. My issue with those is how large they are.

I love how all your furniture looks together, Kelly! I was thrilled when we moved and I was able to bring my white slipcovered chair together with my white slipcovered sofa. Both chairs look very comfy.

The chair is beautiful! Is it one you had that you had covered or did you find it this way? I just love it and it goes so well in your family room.

I have always wanted one of those drying racks but wasn't sure what to do with it. I like it with your mugs and it looks perfect where you have it! Saturday was a good day for you! :)

The rack is a great find and I like that you've chosen not to fill it, but to enjoy its structure.

Kelly, I know I've said it before but I'll say it again. Love the chairs and I love the whole look of this room. I never tire of looking at your home and I love the way you are always rearranging things.

Thanks for visiting me today. I think you're right, I may have to paint that red wall myself or else it may never get done. I know if I start, hubby will jump right in. Now the hard part, picking out a nice neutral color that will go with my red couches.
