Grey and White Fabrics

Hello everyone!

Or maybe, I should say "Happy Hump Day".

This week has been difficult because my youngest son has been sick with a fever and sore throat.  My husband is out of town, so I'm on my own this week.  He finally went back to school today though.  He is feeling better, but is still not completely well.

On the bright side though, the weather here has been beautiful!  We haven't had to use our air conditioning in several days.

Around the house, I've added some more grey and white to my decor.

First, I ordered these wall baskets from Decor Steals.  They are made of chicken wire with a cute checked liner.

I knew I could find a place for them as soon as I saw them.  I decided to hang them in my kitchen above the grey table that holds baking staples.

Here's a close-up.

I also found this grey and white french striped ticking pillow cover from an Etsy shop in France.

It matches the beige ones I have in the dining room.

And, in my bedroom, I decided to change up the bedding with just grey and white.

I liked how it looked in conjunction with the burlap already in the room.  I added some white ruffled European shams and a grey velvet pillow to the bed.

I haven't really done any Fall decor inside yet, but did manage to buy some pumpkins and pansies for my front porch.  I will share those in another post.

Hope you are having a good "hump" day and enjoying some pretty weather where you live.

Thanks for stopping by!

~ Kelly ~

I love those wall baskets and the checked pattern fabric is very refreshing with all of the burlap we see! ;-D

I love your bedding, I've been struggling with mine since we painted the room gray. So, like you, I'm down to gray and white and not sure if I want to add a third color.

Can't wait to see your outdoor fall decor, I think the outside of your home is the prettiest in Blogland!

Jane

Love the grey and white bedding. I just did a mini makeover on my bedroom and went with white bedding too. I also like how you have a table that holds your baking staples. Great idea! The wall baskets with the checked liner look so pretty. Hope your son feels better soon. It's not fun when they get sick.

I love your new wall baskets and the striped pillow on your chair! I hope your son is feeling better. It doesn't take long for germs to be shared once school starts.

We had a beautiful 70 degree day today. I wish it could last a bit longer!

it's not fun having a sick child. Hopefully he will be 100% better by the weekend. My girls keep asking me why people put pumpkins outside their door...

Glad to hear your son is on the mend and back in school. Question, what shade of gray is on your open cabinets in the kitchen and on your table with the baking staples? I love the new pillow and really like the gray table next to your chair. I love looking at your calm and neutral home. You layer everything so well.

Love those baskets, and your bedding! I can't have white bedding as my diva doggy loves to sleep on the bed. Although she's very clean, I know it would get mucky soon enough :)

Hi Kelly, I hope your son feels better real soon! I always enjoy seeing your beautiful home. Those baskets are great. We are having very cloudy days here and it is very damp and raw outside. Not fun.

That tv unit way in the back ground reminds me of one I took and cut it down to slim the piece adding shelving to it for a better us in my kitchen and post before my latest posting.

Love all you inspire here, I could move right in.
