Galvanized Metal

Hello everyone!

As I look around my home, I see a trend.  I have a thing for galvanized metal.  I love how it has a rustic, country look  and can be used in so many ways.

Remember, I used to have a galvanized metal tray holding small potted plants on my coffee table, but now I have this.

I used a galvanized metal tub (that I've had) and filled it with white hydrangeas.  I love the look of grey and white, so this tub with these flowers is a great combination.

With February now upon us, I thought some flowers would be a nice change on the coffee table.

I also wanted to share something I found at Walmart the other day.  These galvanized bins with rope handles were there!

I bought a couple of them for my son's room.  I even added some felt circles to the bottom so it won't scratch the paint.  I thought he could use some extra storage. Walmart also has some galvanized locker style bins too.  So, go check them out if you're looking for this style!

And guess what  happens THIS week?

My son is COMING HOME!

He has finally been medically cleared from Marine boot camp, so he will be home on Wednesday.  My husband is actually going to go pick him up (a long 12 hr round trip) so my son won't have to ride a bus home in the middle of the night etc.  Many other parents are doing that too.

We're very excited to see him and won't have to wait much longer.  He has been gone since mid October last year!

Thanks for stopping by!
